(bottle) Black coloured hue with a beige and firm mid-sized foamy head. Earthy and leathery roast-malty aroma with notes of dark chocolate, liquorice, vanilla and a tinge of dark fruits. Roasty bitter flavour with a mildly alcoholic sweetness, full bodied with a soft carbonation. Solid leathery and a bit tarry roasted malt-character with hints of dark chocolate, liquorice and a subtle sour-fruity touch; roasty and chocolatey malty finish with alcoholic and mildly vinous notes. Very good. 03.III.13

Maybe not the tastiest Russian Stout ever, I miss some of the little flavors, is compensated by a great mild palate. Not bad for rating number 2000

A black beer, a head is very big and beige. Aroma has liquirice, salt liquirice and some chocolate. Taste is powerful, great salt liquirice, some dark fruitness and roastiness. Full bodied, not sticky, balanced carbonation. Not typical IS, whick have also other nuancees than the nomal coffee and roastiness. Strong salt liquirice and lots of flavours. Very tasteful.

Bottle conditioned, aged 8 years, from Westholme Stores, Goring, Oxon. Jet Black with tan head. Big heavy, black roasted malt flavours from the start, liquorice and bitumen notes, quite well amalgamated over the years, although still a considerable bitterness. Elderberry notes, pretty earthy and dry, lots of tongue coating and mouthfeel, thick and heavy. A big old bruiser of a beer.

Bottle sample at a tasting. Thanks tomer. Pours brown black with a big beige head. Smell of chocolate, cocoa beans, coffee, prunes. Sweet, chocolate, nuts, soy, caramel, a bit acidic flavors, alcoholic warmth down the throat. Medium-bodied, a bit too fizzy, sticky texture. Good sipper.

At a tasting, thanks Roei, small creamy head, opaque vert dark brown color, lots of aromatic coffee, with wood, shrubs, cinamon and dark bread in the back, roasted coffee flavor, some roasted malt and dark fruits, mellow sourness. Very nice to sip slowly, should continue to improve.

Bottle sample at a tasting at tomer’s place. Thanks tomer. Black with a bit of tan foam. Aroma is burnt and boozy, with wine, dark fruits, chocolate, some soy sauce, charcoal, licorice. Sourish-bitterish roasty flavor, vinous, with dark fruits, soy sauce, some chocolate, coffee, and alcohol. Quite full-bodied. A bit too boozy, but mellows with some time in the glass.
