3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 haddonsman (1234) - Derby, Derbyshire, ENGLAND - AUG 22, 2006
Cask (handpull) at the Flowerpot, Derby. Insert usual Durham beer review here.... varietal hop, citric bite, deceny dryness, clesr gold body, blah blah blah. There’s little difference between many Durham beers; if you love them like I do, then that’s no bad thing.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Ungstrup (23969) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - APR 29, 2005
[Cask at GBBF 2004] I’m surprised I have to enter this into the db, since it was available at GBBF and quite a few RB’ians where present at the festival doing some serious sampling - maybe smarter people than me guessed at the quality? But since I’ve really enjoyed the other Durham beers I’ve sampled I gave this a go too: An orange beer with no head. The aroma is hoppy and flowery, while the flavor is dry with notes of citrus on a sour background. The body is thin.
