At over 100 IBUs, Therapist is surprisingly easy to drink. Big, bold hop aromas and flavors of citrus, tropical fruits and pine are bracketed by light malty sweetness that does not overpower. A healthy addition of wheat in the grain bill adds to the body and mouthfeel.

On Tap at Tap 25. I’m growing very fond of this brewery. I don’t think I’ve every had a bad beer by them. This one pours a clear gold with an off white head. The aroma is stanky and spicy with mild caramel and tropical fruit sweetness. The flavor is dank, spicy onion, only a hint of caramel on a full, oily palate. Nice finish. Great mouthfeel. A touch more aroma would have put this over the top.

On Tap at Capitol Beer & Tap Room. Pours clear golden with a decent off-white head and an earthy aroma. There is a hearty caramel malt flavor with a bitter musty finish.

On tap at Capitol Beer, Sacramento. Pours clear golden with a nice off-white head and a citrus aroma. There is a hearty caramel malt flavor that starts sweet and finishes quite bitter.

Nice amber pour with small head. Tropical fruit and citrus on the aroma and flavor.

A whole lotta alcohol on the taste of this one. Enough to go over top of the massive amount of hops. While on hops, too many went to bittering. Would really have benefited from some of those being held back, if not dry hopped, at least added late in the boil. Sadly, nothing special DIPA.

His is a pretty sweet IPA but tasty. Orange color with a strong sweet flavor, a bit too much really. A decent finish to our evening camping at Yosemite.

Flaske: Købt på en tankstation udenfor Yosemite. Udelukkende grundet navnet på bryggeriet. Meget positivt overrasket. Orange let uklar. Fantastisk duft af frisk humle, let citrus mango og en smule malt. Smagen er næsten uden bitterhed men masser af juicy humle, god alkohol til at bakke resten af øllen op. Lækker øl.

Appearance: Pours a bright clear amber gold. Thin film off white.

Aroma: Sweet malt, tropical fruit.

Taste: Caramel like malt, fruit cocktail and a bombardment of bitter hops. 100 ibu style.

Mouthfeel: Full bodied. Average carbonation.

Overall: This is most certainly 100 IBUS. Kind of reminds me of Green Flash Palate Wrecker. This was too malty for my liking, but I completely understand why it had to have the malt bill it did. I look forward to trying more beers from Dust Bowl. Share on TwitterShare on Facebook+1Submit to StumbleUponDigg ThisSubmit to redditShare via emailShare

From a bomber. Bright citrus and resin. Wheat cracker malt in moderate low amounts. Clear orange with full white head. High bitterness marries well with moderate malt and overt pine and citrus hops.

Bottle shared by Bytemesis! Strong fruity nose with lots of lemon and citrus. a dry pithy bitterness with not much malt presence. This is definitely for the hop focused, no malt, no messing around DIPA lover. enjoyable.

Bottle, picked up at Wine Club on Nolen’s recommendation, and shared at the Homer "welcome to California" tasting. Pours crystal clear orange with a medium creamy off-white head that slowly dissipates leaving nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is quite dank, lots of grapefruit, pine, wet leaves, a bit of a pot note. Flavor has little sweetness, quite dry and light plus bitter, fruity, citrus and dankness. Medium body. Nice beer coming just short of world class.
