3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Second beer from John and Karyn and the rest of the folks at the dutch. A lovely Hefe pours cloudy straw yellow with a small white head. Nose of faight clove and wheat sweetness. Taste follows in order. Front is sweet but the clove and hop presence balance. Enjoyable. Get it while you can.... only 2 barrels before its gone for the next batch.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On draught at the Dutch Ale House. Arrived to the table a hazy gold with a thin white head that lasted through the first two sips and left partial lace. The aroma os wheat grain and a touch of lemon. The flavor is exactly the same as the aroma with wheat grain and a bit of lemon. I want there to be more lemon, but it just isn’t there. Very mild bitterness at the finish.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Having been along for the extended ride of nano-brewery development at my favorite watering hole outside of my basement, I am proud to say that the Dutch has this as one of their solid house beers. This must be batch 4 or 5 of the Colonial Wheat. Quality has not faltered in the least. A lovely hazy amber in the glass with a rolling lively head. Nose of sweet wheat. Yeast blends well with malt and opens taste buds for mass consumption. Medium length body that is light on the palate. Finish is extended yeast tang. Keep it coming Johnny!
