10 ounce sample on tap at Ten22 in Sacramento. The aroma is spicy, metallic, and herbal with hints of barnyard esters. Light aroma. Transparent golden body with a small, weak, white head present. Starts with light spicy hop flavor, before this becomes a bit sweet and sticky in the middle. Dusty, dry, barnyard yeast esters come through late. Light grass hop bitterness is also present in the finish.

Duvel Single Fermentation the way I drank it. Light hop aroma. Amber pour with a tight head. Taste is lightly floral, lightly bitter, and lightly sour - - not a bad combination but not particularly outstanding. This Duvel might be an acquired taste. Give it a try.

On tap at the Mayor. Appearance: Small white head, great lace, slightly cloudy, yellow straw color. Aroma: vinegary yeast, banana, citrus, wheat. Palate: light body, soft carbonation, dry finish, creamy texture. Taste: sweet and tart, like an under ripe fruit. Overall, very refreshing and a good texture.
