3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
7/20/2013: Duvel Single - Really light and bubbly, but surprisingly packed with Belgiany spice and flavor. The uber-light golden yellow color and large white head seems typical for the style. The aroma has a bit of fruitiness, cinammon, and wheat. The flavor is well-balanced and fairly complex for such a small beer with notes of fruity esters, floral perfume, candi sugar, biscuity malt, spice, and lemon/citrus peel. Very, very good. Way too easy to consume a large amount of this beer. The tastebuds would love that, but the wallet would not!
Draught (sample) at Party Town in Florence, KY. Rating #263 for this beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
7/24/13. On tap at Aardwolf. Most places around town are calling this "Duvel Single," so I think this is the right listing. Mostly clear golden pour, reminds of clear pee in a way, with a frothy off-white head that fades but laces really well. Mild esters, some banana, on the aroma, with touches of cream and candy sugar. Lighter flavor, mild pale doughy malts, some banana esters, cream, and candy sugar. Slightly less sweet and more laid back than standard Duvel. Tasty enough.
