2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Benjii (1681) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 28, 2011
In bottle at t’Waagstuk. Pours a very pale blonde colour with a medium white head. Aroma of biscuity malt, oatmeal, alcohol, candy sugar and caramel. Alcohol is prominent with flavours of light barley, grassy hops and yeast. A very dry finish doesn’t do it for me. I prefer the regular version.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20 robklg (12) - Enschede, NETHERLANDS - AUG 26, 2011
It is surprisingly similar to the big brother duvel.. the lighter and fresher variant of the typtical duvel beer. In all aspects however it is lighter: color, taste, alcohol. I’m not so good at defining flavours, but reading other’s accounts, I agree mostly to ’grass’ and ’white bread’ flavours.
This is a very nice easy to drink beer... it can be great if you are looking for a low-alcohol beer that has a nice and special flavour.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 hirigalzkar (1320) - ENSKEDE, SWEDEN - AUG 26, 2011
Bottle. Really simillar to the original Duvel. A little less alchol and a little more drinkable. Really like the saison-like nose. Sweet, spicy and yeasty! Taste is quite crisp. Highly drinkable. Maybe a little too thin.
