Editor’s Note: This is NOT the draught Duvel (aka Duvel Green). Duvel Groen is only bottled, never draught, and generally only available in Belgium, not the US or UK.

Bottle. Light colour with a head not so long lasting as in the regular version of Duvel. Aromas of sweet pears and green apples. Taste is a bit thin and watery. Overall this tastes like a normal Duvel with water added. I prefer the normal version by far.

Bottled: Pale yellow coloured. Clear. Huge huge dense off white head. yasty citric aroma with notes of spices and fruit. Flavour is sweet, light spiced, malty and has a sharp alcoholbackground. Is medium bodied. Too alcoholic in the end for my likings. I like the "real" duvel a lot better, eventhough this beer has a delicious aroma, the flavour unfortunately dosn’t live up to that.

LaChad (1375) - San Francisco, California, USA - JUN 5, 2005
Bottle. Yellow-orange appearance with spongy white head, sour yeasty aroma with some perfume thrown in there that I liked a lot. Rather thin and very "drinkable", if that is a good thing, for a 7.5% beer. Slightly sour flavor, faint apples, vinegar. Some hops but it just doesn’t give it much kick and this finishes up a little disappointing.

(Bottle 25 cl) This green devil is a bit weaker than it’s red sibling. Lighter and more easy to digest. Nice without loosing the typical yeasty Duvel touches. Light and pale, but still rather potent in alcohol. 040996

Drank a bottle of this in Amsterdam. Gold color with very small head. Bitter smell and a bitter taste with a lot of fizz thrown in. Not a fan of the hoppy.

Golden coloured with a huge white head. Very pale. The nose is very perfumed, a bit like sulfur, with sweet fruit and minty notes. The flavor is also funky, with some fruits, yeast and malt. Very fresh

UPDATED: AUG 24, 2008 A Mes rate: bottle from Moortgat.
Almost like a pils. Very similar to the regular Duvel just a little paler and not quite so strong. Not so much novelty head like the regular Duvel either. Sweet, citric, malty with a longish bitter finish. Drinkable but not amazing but hey 8 free bottles from the brewery delivered by Duvel push bike cant be bad.

Duvel special with white label and green lettering. Yellow color beer with no real head, just a few foamy bubbles. Strong hoppy aroma. Fizzy mouthfeel and a mildly unpleasant aftertaste. Eh, nothing special at all.
