3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, Geers. Pours golden yellow sparkling. Very tenacious egg white head. Yeast & fruit liquor nose, clean alcohol. Similar taste as the big brother, but more light. Maybe a bit sweeter. I like this brew.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Not in the same league as the standard red version. But very few beers are in my opinion so that’s not to say it’s bad - just different (and definitely worth a try).

2.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
This is a toned down version of the normal Duvel, why would they ever brew this? It’s not like the normal one is hard to drink or anything.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, 250 ml, at home.Poured into a tulip glass.
Clear body, deep golden yellow in colour. One finger of white head, good retention for its size and good lacing left behind too. Continuous activity in the glass.
Aroma is fruity, very appealing, with yeast notes.
Taste follows the aroma, fruity with peach and apples, a bit of yeast. Nice mild bitterness on the aftertaste.
medium thin, airy body, very dry on the palate. Good carbonation.
Overall, very good.

Bottle 25 cl, 10/2013. Pours clear pale golden in color with a foamy whitish head. Sweet fruity, a bit
spicy yeasty and clove in aroma. Bready malty, spicy and notes of citrus in taste. Lighter in all
perspectives compared to the red Duvel.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma: Sea salt, white pepper, basil and freshly cut lime.
Appearance: Clear golden body with a thin white head that fades. Lively carbonation. Light lacing marks.
Taste: Lemongrass, lime, gooseberry and coriander seeds. A little too sharp and bitter.
Palate: Thin to medium body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Average carbonation.
Overall: Mouth puckeringly bitter - almost sour, in fact. Quite an unusual beer with refreshing flavours. But not one I’d have rush to have again.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle at Take One in Maastricht.
Both in nose and taste it beats the regular Duvel with fresher aroma and a smoother taste. Yet, it unmistakingly tastes like a Duvel. Fun Fact: Méry from the café told me that this was the original Duvel before they made the red one.
