Editor’s Note: This is NOT the draught Duvel (aka Duvel Green). Duvel Groen is only bottled, never draught, and generally only available in Belgium, not the US or UK.

25cl bottle: Clear gold with fine frothy white head. Lively carbonation, yeast & spices. Dry finish with a easy hoppy note. Alcohol well hidden. A lot like a "light" Duvel, but still very good!

Light gold; phenolic, alcholic aroma; smooth maltiness, alcoholic warmth, sweetness, pepper. Much simpler in palate than its bigger brother, IMO.

(Bottle) Pours a clear pale yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of mustiness, lemon zest, corn grain, and a hint of coriander. Flavor of spicy yeast, grapefruit peel, and light pear with a bitter finish. Rather bland after being filtered...

Bottle. Funny this. The aroma is very much like the red Duvel which is one of my favourite beers. This clear filtered version has less creaminess and body than the red. Nice citric fruit still though. Nice and juicy. Prefer the red label though.

Golden colour. Big white head. Has a sweet grassy aroma with hints of alcohol. A little sweet and fruity aroma, with hints of bitterness in the aftertaste. An easy drinking belgian strong ale. Pretty good.

Bottled (BB 01/2007). Pale yellow, decent white head. Aroma is mostly sweet maize. Fruity (apples, pears) bitter flavor, metallic notes, lemon, sweetish bitter aftertaste. Some pear and apple fruityness also in the aftertaste. Belgian ale-version of European strong lager, useless brew.

Bottle at home. Clear yellow/golden - white head. Zesty. Light malty. Phenols. Sulfor. Yeasty. Light wheaty. Cardboard and metallic notes. Fruity. Dryness. Light crispy. Ok.

Bottled. Lightly hazy, golden ale with a nice, dense, white head. Yeast, cellar, sweetness and malt in the aroma. Some alcohol too. The flavor is quite sweet, with alcohol and some hops. Ok body, but a bit too much on the alcohol-side. The red Duvel is better. (060530)

Never knew there was a green version until I saw it at Ølbaren. Pale hazy yellow with a decent head. Aroma of yeast, grains and some sweetness. Flavour of some yeastiness, malty, some sweetness, bit fruitish. Bit thin but ok beer. Must of course taste better when fresh and not past date.

Bottle. [thank you Grovlam!]. Pours a clear golden yellow with loads of bubbles. Head is frothy, but stays. Aroma is great. There is vanilla, malty sweetness, coriander, oranges and a little lemons. Very full and creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is very dry, and very spicy. There is coriander, pepper, spicy hops, a little viniousness (but the alcohol is well-hidden). The flavour stays for quite a while.
