Both in nose and taste it beats the regular Duvel with fresher aroma and a smoother taste. Yet, it unmistakingly tastes like a Duvel. Fun Fact: Méry from the café told me that this was the original Duvel before they made the red one.

Appearance: clear blonde beer, white stable large head.
Nose: oranges, yeast, hops, very Duvel-like in my opinion.
Taste: fruity, hops, yeast, rather dry.
in total, it has somewhat less taste than the regular Duvel, but not a bad beer!

Pours a clear golden colour with a large white head. Aroma of strong grassy hops, herbs and citrus. Flavour of strong and intensive grassy hops, strong pale malts, citrus and hay. Medium bodied, slightly dry mouthfeel and a dry, malty, high bitter finish. Good and refreshing.

Aroma is fruity with some citrus, apricot and hints of alcohol. Flavour has grassy hops, citrus and floral notes. Some boozy tones in the finish. Worse than the basic Duvel.

Bottle from local Sake Marche. Mild sweetish yeasty aroma. Clear light straw color, lots of carb, 2-3cm white head. Very tasty light malt initial with some candy notes; mid has a touch of bittering and a little sour apple; final is light fruit with some yeast. Medium body. Pretty good. Nothing at all like the regular Duvel. Really, a fairly ordinary Belgian ale.

Bottle at Cafe De la Gare. Pours clear golden with a small off white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, wheat, fruits and alcohol. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter. Medium bodied with light to moderate carbonation.

Bottled.Golden color with a small whitehead. Aroma is spicy, hints of belgian yeast. Flavor is like the flavor but with some bitterness. Medium body. Mouth feel is long and bitter.
