4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
330 ml bottle, pours a very light yellow orange, a little cloudy, big foamy head and solid carbonation, looks a lot like the classic Duvel. The aroma is dominated by the Citra hop, balanced very nicely with the Duvel’s banana, bubblegum & herby flavour, short bitter finish, very smooth yet complex, a fantastic IPA style Belgian Ale.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Hazy golden blonde with a big frothy head. Superb complex aromas, piney, lemon rind, green, minty and spicy. Very nice. Medium body, beautiful complex hops, rarely tasted citra hops so well domesticated. Never cat-pissy. Good carbonation, long leafy hop finale, spicy, very fresh, minty finale. Top class.

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Retrogosto seco e amargo, refrescante. Uma cerveja maravilhosa!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Farmyard, earthy, slightly cheesy nose with some fresh citrus. Pours a pale straw-gold with a un-duvelesque thin head. Flavour is interesting - well-balanced with a steady Duvel sharpness underpinned by freshness from the cintra hop; however, there’s a slight yeasty sourness and the mouthfeel is spoiled a little by over-carbing. Finish is long and dry with zesty orange peel notes and maybe a little wheat-style coriander. And plenty of pepper. Nice. Not amazing, but nice.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
25-JAN-2012, bottle @Papsø tasting, @Yespr.
Pale golden with white head.
Sweet hoppy aroma with citrus and a little pine, honey, and licorice.
Taste the same. Belgian like yeast and spice. Overcarbonated.
Fine mix with the hops but nothing spectacular.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sample from 75 cl. bottle. Slightly hazy, golden colour with a small, dense white head. Aroma with citrus hops, exotic fruits, fresh yeasts, fruity malts, a hint of spices. Taste is sweet. Medium body with a good, lively carbonation. Finishes bitter with spices and herbal/citrus hops. Almost as good as the original Duvel.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Small bottle. Clear pale yellow pour, frothy white head. Aroma is fruity, lots of lemon candy, light eucalyptus, duvel nose (light yeastiness), grass. Taste is fruity, beautiful hop flavor, a bit of corn sweetness, not as clean as the aroma but very nice. Palate is good, classic Duvel, really high carb with med body, easy drinking.
