The first two batches of Duvel Tripel Hop were brewed with Saaz-Saaz, Styrian Golding and Amarillo. From now on Duvel Tripel Hop will have a different hop every year that will be added in the brewing process as well as being used for dry hopping. For 2012 this hop is Citra.

Editor’s note: clearly distinguishable, in a circle on the label it reads "Dry Hopped with Citra 2012 Selection"

Found some old ratings on paper from an unknown date... pours to a hazy yellow body with a creamy slick white head and nice lacing. The aroma is Belgian yeasty with a subtle hop. Pretty complex. The flavor is lightly hoppy Belgian Duvel yeast with an ultra subtle banana. Soooo complex. The palate is very smooth with a perfect hop bitterness balance. Velvety texture.

750ml bottle shared by Brett. Slightly hazy yellow-orange. Steady, thin, glass-lacing white head. Soapy, menthol edged hop tones. Has a strawy, soapy, hairspray feel. OK, but certainly not as good as a regular Duvel.

Bottled from Systembolaget Golden with a large white head. Fresh pine-needles, tropical fruits and green grapes. Medium bitterness.

Corpo medio, mediamente carbonata.

33 cl bottle at home. Found this hiding in a cupboard with a BBE date of Jan 2015. Pours in the usual Duvel way, also looks like one. Aroma is sweet, mellow hop, pineapple like and with fruit and yeast. Taste is really nice, some sweetness then lots of dry, bitter hop. Grainy, but the mouthfeel is slightly sticky. No doubt this is one powerful beer, rich and deep with a lot going on. Maybe better fresher for the hop aroma, but very good all the same.

Uma Duvel cítrica, equilibrada, mesmo com o alto teor alcóolico. Saborosa e muito fácil de beber!!!! Pena que estas edições não voltam.

33cl bottle. A real pleasure to have this Duvel with Citra, Saaz-Saaz and Styrian Golding, with Citra dry hopping.

Bottle sample at Duvel Tripel Hop 2015 launch event at Beer & Beyond shop. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Smell of fruity esters, grapefruit, spices, floral, alcohol, overripe fruit and honey. Sweet and fruity with mild bitterness, flavors of mango, papaya, honey and citrus. Medium-bodied, low carbonation, oily mouthfeel. Old but still quite pleasant.
