3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Almost clear pale golden color, with "greeny?" notes on the sides. Not a typical Duvel head, despite being poured in a Duvel glass. Dissipated quite quickly, not creamy.
On the nose: lime, freshnes, fruity esters, tropical fruits, something shampoo-ey. Taste: peasant bitterness combined with alcohol warmth, fruity esters, citrus (lime).
Palate: dry, bitterness lingers on, pleasant.
Good, but the Citra edition is much better for me.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
330 ml bottle. Hazy honey gold color. Big rocky white head. Yeasty, sweet honey malt nose. Earthy, tangy malt flavor takes that traditional yeasty Duvel flavor and adds a complex hop character that yields a uniquely different Golden Ale experience. The combination of hops takes the emphasis off the malt and changes this ale in a big way. A must try.
