3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pale blonde. Lemon, pineapple and apricot in the aroma. Malty, floral hopbitter flavor with lemon and pineapple. Dryish and quite likeable. But more perfumed as the ’regular’ Duvel.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
33cl bottle at home. Rather pale golden blond coloured beer with lots of carbonation and a large white head. Very fruity almost peachy starfruit hoppy hinted aroma. Full palate. Finish is again very fruity with a light bitter hoppy ending. Still convinced that the regular Duvel is better, but this one is more to my taste than last years Citra version.

Bijzonder biertje deze duvel. De smaak is moeilijk te plaatsen, maar wel bijzonder (lekker).

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle at home. Light hazy yellow with frothy white head. Aroma of fresh citrus , soap, typical yeastiness, some bubblegum and bread. Slightly tart. Taste is citrussy, lemonpeel, green herbs and very soapy. Quite sharp bitterness with a grainy aftertaste. I prefer the 2012 version or the regular Duvel.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a very clear golden beer with a not so typical Duvel head. White, but not as big as I’m used to with the Duvel beers. Aroma is.... interesting, so to speak. Has touches of soap, funk, yeast and some wet vegetables or something... Not really found of the aroma. Flavour is much better, typical Duvel shines trough a nice balanced palate of some dried fruits and fresh baked bread. Quite a yeasty mouthfeel with an almost tart finish. Very intersting brew this one.. luckily I have another bottle available for tasting..

UPDATED: JUN 10, 2013 Wow. Wow wow and wow. Really loving this. Perfect aroma and appearance. The taste is nice bitter. Only the mouthfeel was average.
Rerate: Still a nice one but certainly not that special as I thought it was before.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Stubby bottle, 330 ml, at home. Poured into my tulip glass. ABV 9,5%.
Great appearance as with all Duvels, with clear golden yellow body and a snow white, thick and sopay head of a bit more than three fingers. Foam has average retention. Nice lacing left on the glass once again.
The new hops offer an tropical fruit aroma, a bit of mango too. Very refreshing smell, just like a good IPA.
Very nice bittery taste as well, with the flavour following the aroma. Lots of tropical fruits, very refreshing, very hoppy. The high alcohol masterfully hidden for one more time, deceiving you into taking big sips of this excellent beer.
Medium thin body, good amount of carbonation. Dry on the palate, but nothing extreme.
Overall, this one is very close to an IPA, both aroma/taste wise and hops level, although not overly bitter. Great beer, and as with the 2012 version, they should have made it year round or at least seasonal instead of an one-off.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
33cl Bottle at Lost Property. Clear golden colour, big white head. Aroma is bad, cat piss, grain, cheap toilet refreshener, grass, light tart. Flavour is light malty, green apple skin, cat piss, light-sweet bubblegum (there it is!), light floral and fruity, light tart, citrus, bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Not nearly as good as the other Duvels so far.
