3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
330 ml bottle. Pours a yellow brown with medium head. Aromas of apples and fresh hops. Flavors are similar with more fresh hops and fruit. Tastes like a wet hopped beer. Nice.

Pours cloudy, yellow with light white head. But what a strange hop flavor. Pretty good.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
bread, barnyard, floral, golden, clear, rocky head, white foam, medium sweetness, medium bitterness, medium body, creamy, lively. Actually the Sorachi Ace is very subtle, it enhances Duvel with some funky aroma. Wuite good.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle @ Gollem with Scopey & Deeblo. The pour’s deep gold with a tiny white head. Ripe apple orchard nose. A bit or earthy piss and marzipan. Plums. The taste has a touch of brett. Mildly acerbic biting hops. Sweet malt profile. Honeyed apples. Smooth and easy to drink for nearly 10%. Overall, pretty cool stuff.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
(Bottled@HBF 2013) Hazy pale golden with a medium head (didn’t get a whole bottle, so dunno if the Duvel head is intact in this). Herby lime nose with soft cat pee. Flavor of cat pee and dish-washing liquid, with a nasty pungent bitterness hitting you in the finish, like you already didn’t have enough of this s**t. Medium body, hidden alcohol, soft CO2. A great beer spoiled with totally wrong hops. The tripel hop series has gone worse with each incarnation.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
33 cl bottle @ home. Pours like a regular Duvel: almost clear pale blonde color, huge snow-white head. Smells, malty (sweet & somewhat grainy), grassy, tropical fruit (my girlfriend smelled white grapes), somewhat herbal retronasal. Flavor is light bitter (a bit earthy), with some acidity, perhaps due to the high carbonation. Medium bodied, alcohol warms the throat. finishes rather dry, but fairly mild. Maybe not my favorite of the Tripel Hops, but a worthy experiment anyway.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
330ml bottle (HBF2013, Friday)
Pale, but with a lovely frothy white head. Massive fruity tropical aroma - coconut and pineapple. Odd, but I like it. Taste is the opposite - a horror mess - I just don’t like sorachi ace. With all the yeast it becomes saner, it becomes tropical fruit juice. Does cover the alcohol quite well, it’s not boozy.
