COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hops: Saaz, Styrian Golding and Sorachi Ace. "Dry Hopped with Sorachi Ace. 2013 Selection"

Big white head. Hazy pale yellow body. Metallic herbal toffee aroma with lemony notes. Dry, and somewhat sweet, lemony toffee taste with metallic notes. Mid-bodied. Sharpish, slightly hot mouthfeel. Dryish bready lemony metallic aftertaste with funky herbal notes. It’s quite nice and fairly drinkable. Bit much metal and lemon for my tastes. (0.33l bottle, from Toft Vin, Copenhagen.)

SAQ private import - 2013 edition (Sorachi Ace). Pours a cloudy light yellow colour with a big white head, great retention and lots of cloudy lacing. Fruity nose with mostly lemons. Belgian Ale yeast with light spices and the fresh grassy hop. The taste is an even better blend of these things. Refreshing mouthfeel with a beautiful light dryness in the finish. Duvel is already good. Now, this hop added to it just makes it better, fresh and fruity.

Pours a unclear blond with huge white head. Aroma is citrus, lemon, pear, floral, white grapes and spicy belgian yeast. Citric mouth feel with medium carbonation. Aftertaste is citric, dry floral, metal and lasting alcohol/hop bite. Overall: excellent.

Trübes goldgelbes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig süß, überreife Früchte, hefig, fruchtig bitter. Geschmack malzig fruchtig, bitter, reife Früchte, leicht alkoholisch, würzig.

Best before October of 2015.
Appearance: Hazy straw colored body with a towering white foamy head.
Aroma: Mild banana and malt sweetness with a candied lemon aroma. The aroma isn’t overly strong or offensive, I’m just not huge on it.
Taste: This tastes like the aroma, hints of banana, some candied lemon and straw. Easy to drink, but nothing exciting.
Palate: A tad watery with mild carbonation.
Overall: This is likely past it’s prime, but the date says it’s good til next year. I would pass on this at this point, it’s not very appealing, especially at the price.

Aroma super lupulado com notas frutadas e cítricas. Aparência clara com médio corpo e uma espuma inesquecível. Sabor cítrico, com notas apimentadas e um amargor marcante. No palato, um final longo e levemente floral. No geral? MARAVILHOSA!

33 cl. bottle poured in to a Duvel tulip. Unclear, golden colour with a huge, white head that slowly collapses to bubbly lumps. Fruity aroma with floral hops, grape, citrus, grasses and spices - the yeasty character known from the regular Duvel. Taste is bitter. Medium body with a lively carbonation - perhaps a little aggressive. Long lasting dry and bitter finish with fruits, yeasts and lingering citrus fruits. A lot bit of warmth from alcohol. Excellent, love the dry hopped versions.

330 ml bottle into signature tulip glass, best before 12/2015. Pours light hazy bright gold color with a 2 finger foamy and rocky white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings around the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon zest, orange peel, pear, apple, white grape, clove, pepper, floral, grass, herbal, bread, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good complexity and balance of hop, fruity/spicy yeast, and malt notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon zest, orange peel, pear, white grape, apple, pepper, clove, herbal, floral, grass, cracker, bread, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Fair amount of earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon zest, orange peel, pear, apple, white grape, pepper, clove, floral, grass, bread, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity of hop, fruity/spicy yeast, and malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast flavor balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly prickly mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Belgian IPA. All around great complexity and balance of hop, fruity/spicy yeast, and malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to sip on for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.
