3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Great beer. You can feel the soraci ace. The alcohol balances with the body and the end is bitter and strong.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
330ml bottle. Clear, golden, good carbonation, good white head. Nose is all about citrus, citrus in the taste, which is bitter (more bitter than the Citra version) and more MF too, very well carbonated. This Sorachi Ace version is more in line with the original Duvel, has a bit more punch but I preferred the 2012 version.

Bottle, 33cL. Home. Hay yellow, clear beer with a large lasting white crown. Hello, beautiful ! Definitely exotic fruits with notes of herbs and spices. Lemon. Spicy bitterness with a light sweetness. Refreshing, lively carbonation. Long exotic bitter finish. Something new ! I tasted another beer with this japanese hop before and I think Sorachi ace is responsible for this great experience. Cheers !

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours gold as usual and gushed out as usual while sporting a white head. Nose is earthy spice, light sweet malts, dank resins, sweetened lime juice, baked lemon rind, bright citrus, spice, and various complex fruits. Flavor is earthy, very spicy, sweet malts mixed in, warming sweet alcohols, dank lemons and some again, sweetened juice from well ripened limes. Moderate carb. Good beer but I liked the last version I had better. A little odd dankness in there on this one but still pretty solid.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Golden blond colour with a big head. Aroma: lychee, lychee and lychee and citrus. Very aromatic hops. Taste: grass, citrus, bitterness. The sorachi ace hops are omnipresent. Not bad at all. However, I liked the Duvel Tripel Hop Citra (2012) more.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, with a foamy eruption upon opening. Funky, hop and spice aroma. Clear yellow body with medium lasting head. Flavor begins with funky hops with a long tart, bitter finish. Dry and crisp, hides the alcohol content well.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Appearance: bright, clear gold with a monstrous, fluffy, bubbly white head that lasts forever and leaves huge swathes of lace curtains, and an active carbonation jet. Aroma: big bitter notes of lemon zest (hello, sorachi ace!), drying grass, musty herb garden, honey smacks, and that distinctive duvel yeast. Taste: bright and sharp with strong lemon (almost shandy-like), herbal dryness, sweet and peppery yeast, and an unfortunate hint of pine-sol cleaner that lessens as the beer warms. Finish: dry, with lingering lemony bitterness and a bit of crackery, yeasty sweetness. Notes: A distinctive beer that makes excellent use of a focused hop variety. Sorachi Ace is an excellent complement to the base beer. They could have been slightly lighter-handed with the application, but this is a solid brew nevertheless. Alcohol remains very well-hidden.
