Hops: Saaz, Styrian Golding and Sorachi Ace. "Dry Hopped with Sorachi Ace. 2013 Selection"

Hazy pale gold beer, big white head. Palate is light and crisp. Minerals. Nice blend of classic and new hops. Herby green hops balanced by semi bitter lemon Sorachi. Straight up noble hop bitterness. Dry crisp finish. Overall a slightly astringent beer. Interestiing!

Bottle in Gabrovo, Bulgaria. Pours clear yellow-gold, lightly effervescent, with a large, white froth head. Loads of juicy hops in the nose, some melon, cat urine, pineapple. Medium sweet flavor with more juicy hop character, some tangerine, papaya, lemon meringue, decent pale malt sweetness and a bit of alcohol punch. Medium bodied with quite lively carbonation. Warming finish with vague astringency, faint grass, more melon, grapefruit, piss, lemon, pale bread and white grape. Interesting and pretty decent.

Bottle at Terre de Boissons, Calais. How come this isn’t a double IPA? Clear pale gold lasting thin white head. Soapy hoppy aroma. Belgian esters mix with the pungent Sorachi Ace to create something that is interesting. Drinakble Duvel flavour. Depends on whether you like Sorachi Ace hop flavour I guess. I’m pretty neutral, if it’s done well then it’s good, if it’s done badly, then it’s very obvious. This has the Duvel drinkability with some extra hoppage. Right, I prefer regular Duvel definitely. It’s decent, good if you like that kind of thing, definitely nothing you’d take against. Not a fan of the SA soapiness.
