For this 2014 edition, our brewers have selected Mosaic. This new US hop variety enhances the beer with a tangerine sweetness, hints of tropical fruit and an interesting blueberry flavour.

Bottle at Winking Lizard. The beer pours a slightly cloudy straw-gold color with a thick foamy white head that diminishes gradually. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of tropical fruit, hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of citrusy hops, yeast and toasted malt. The finish is fruity with an earthy yeast and citrus aftertaste. Above average overall.

Pours a clear straw colour with a massive bubble head, and amazing lacing. Aroma notes include lots of hop resin mixed with fruity yeast. Tasting notes include huge peppery yeast notes upfront, and then the hops creeps in behind. Blueberry, and rich fruits make up the rear of the palate. A distinct clean taste is left on the palate, this is a very unique brew!

Bottle. Pours light yellow, some haze, frothy white head (not large but good retention). Blood orange, lime zest, farmhouse yeast on the nose. Grapefruit, wet grass, some clementine and lime flavors coming out. Light to medium malt body, bitterness balanced nicely, very slight alcohol notes, medium finish.

330 mL bottle from LCBO served cool in a tulip glass. Clear light golden with a full, fluffy, frail, open, bright white head. Pungent hop character with lots of citrus, tropical fruit, green peppercorns, herbal notes, a little burnt hair, sulphur, limited Belgian character, quite interesting. Medium body, full, rounded effervescence. Plenty of zesty, bright hop flavour, citrus and tropical fruits with some peppery herbal notes, a bit more Belgian ester character than the nose, quite nice; dry with nice bitterness and a long, hoppy finish. Really good.

2014/09/17 - Pours a hazy, yellow- honey colour with a think, rocky, white head that lingers and laces nicely. Aroma is citrus, tropical fruits, floral hops, vegetable notes, yeast and biscuit malts. Taste is citrus, orange, tropical fruits, vinous notes, biscuit, mild yeast, floral hops and mild booze. Mouthfeel is medium with lively, biting carbonation and drying, tannic finish. Rather refreshing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Systembolaget. Clear pale golden beer with a rich airy white head. Hoppy floral aroma, grass, yeasty notes, spicy, citrus, some caramel. Hoppyhay flavor, slighty boozy, marcipan, yeast notes. A bit too harsh to really suit me.

Slightly hazy golden pour with a white head. Aromas of yeast, sweet malt, and subtle brown sugar. Also a nice citrus presence from the hops. Flavor is a nice balance between malts and hops. Very drinkable.

Clear golden pour, big fluffy head, served in a Duvel tulip. Grassy hop aroma, some citrus zest, and tropical fruit, with subtle yeast notes. Very active carb, and a very lively mouth feel. Finish is quick, and sharp. Lots of acitidy and vinous white wine flavours. Touches of tartness and more citrus zest. Lovely stuff.

Bottle: Poured a pale yellow ale with an off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of Belgian malt with some dry hoppy notes with light tangerine and spicy notes also noticeable. Taste is a very nice mix between some Belgian malt with almost no residual sugar notes and some spicy notes with some dry hoppy notes and light tangerine notes also noticeable. Body is light with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Wish this was available throughout the year.
