COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For this 2014 edition, our brewers have selected Mosaic. This new US hop variety enhances the beer with a tangerine sweetness, hints of tropical fruit and an interesting blueberry flavour.

Smells great, hints of funk, tropical fruit, belgian yeast and grassy notes. Hazy yellow and very effervescent, long lasting thick white head. Tastes great, more tropical fruit on the palate than in the aroma, hint of blueberry as suggested, all upfront. Finishes with more tropical fruit, grassyness, belgian yeast and a bit of heat. Medium bodied and highly carbonated. A great beer & promising innovation from Duvel.

Yellow - gold colour with a white head. Smells a lot like cactus fruit and lemon. Taste of grass, hops and citrus. Bitter hoppy finish. A little too fizzy for my taste, but a great beer after all. 9.5% - srsly?

Bottle from Seijo Ishii in Kyoto Station, served in a tulip a pricey 600 yen +tx I should have waited to buy it elsewhere... Oh well onto the beer! This beer is dry hopped with mosaic this year and it has an amazing aroma it’s herbal, light resin oily hop, juicy fruit like very intriguing - mouthwatering even. The beer is a cloudy light gold with a big fizzy almost foamy head that leaves a ton of lacing behind. The taste is sweet lemon, bitter herbal/earthy notes with a tropical fruitiness in the aftertaste. It also has some alcohol burn going down your throat 9.5%. Ratebeer says it has tangerine, tropical fruit and blueberry flavors... having read that I can see my initial lemon vibe being tangerine, I nailed the tropical fruits and I can kind of see a hit of blueberry mid-mouth it is this sudden fruit explosion if your mouth is open you breathe in a blueberry note that just kind of hovers there for a minute before being subsumed. I think I enjoyed last year’s Sorachi Ace edition by a hair but this one is way more complex. Kind of hard for me to read though...

0,33l fles gedeeld met nikos, goudgeel met een bescheiden witte kraag. Geur wiet en citrus, smaak is zoet, erg zoet met een bittertje in de afdronk.

Light yellow cloudy with rich white cap. Balanced refreshing taste, with citrusy sourness and bitterness, which remains afterwards.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Color: clear golden beer with medium carbonation and medium white foam. Smell: high hoppy nose, grass and floral notes. Taste: high hoppy presence, really extreme taste. With grassy notes. Aftertaste: high bitterness and alcohol notes. Good beer but with the high alcohol taste at the end, it can be difficult to drink it.

11.2 bottle, Pale golden pour with big billowy white head. Grassy citrus nose. Complex and well balanced mix of semi sweet malts with fresh lemons and apples. Full palate and very refreshing. Mosaic hops pair well with Duvel. Very tasty!

330ml bottle from Saveur-biere

BBE 09/2016 - Pours clear golden with a smooth white head. Aroma of ripe fruits, yeast, spices, tropical notes and berries. Taste is crisp, sweet and yeasty with notes of ripe fruits and some hints of juicy hoppiness. Finish is sweet, warming and stingy with some fruits, lingering bitter hops and yeast. A bit too sweet and heavy, and the Mosaic notes are quite subtle.

Pours crystal clear golden yellow with a large white head. The aroma has lots of sweet candy malt, spicy hops, tangerine, mint, fruit juice, cream and dark berries. It has a medium body that’s very crisp and has lots of carbonation. The flavor starts off with spicy hops, citrus, sulfur, semi-sweet malt and some alcohol. The finish has more alcohol heat and lots of sweet maltiness - it is still hop heavy overall. Nice twist on Duvel.
