For this 2014 edition, our brewers have selected Mosaic. This new US hop variety enhances the beer with a tangerine sweetness, hints of tropical fruit and an interesting blueberry flavour.

Nice take on a classic beer. The extra hop gives it a nice twitch but also makes it quite high on alcohol. Good beer to try if you like Duvel, but personally I didn’t find it worth trying again.

Bottle from Choice Beverages. Pours a light golden color with a white head. The aromas are citrus, lemon/lime (like sprite) and a hint of grapefruit. The mouthfeel is dry and bitter with a light body and good carbonation. Very nice beer. Cheers!

Looks like a regular duvel. Much more nose thanks to the hops. The hops have a nice grassy aroma. Taste is bitter, with hints of grapefruit and some graas/floral accents. Excellent beer.

330 ml bottle from a four-pack from Liquor Depot, served in a straight-sided goblet. A 2014 vintage beer at 9.5% abv...this will be interesting! Pours a hazy witbier-like medium champagne color with a pearly off-white cap that leaves a few bubbly lace islands. Aroma is unmistakably fruity, fresh, fragrant hops - the entire fruit basket is in here, including stone, tropical, and dark berry - and with a wheaty malt backbone. The flavor is another big burst of fruits, quite sweet but not cloying, with more evident maltiness, spice, and a very faint alcohol warmth on the tongue and the way down. Full-bodied, creamy, and chewy, with a long-lived sweet/spicy aftertaste. Quite luscious and decadent; a real "dessert in a glass", just redolent with all manner of fruit. This is a truly celebratory beer, absolutely deserving of its "vintage" label.

11.2oz bottle - pours a pale straw color with thick bright white head . Aroma is all tropical fruits . Taste brings a lot of tangy citrus with an astringent bitter finish . Good . ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cor dourada, turva. Espuma persistente. Aroma de frutas tropicais. Paladar de lúpulo intenso e frutas amarelas. Retrogosto amargo e alcoólico. Aroma e paladar diferenciados.

Over hyped! The usual Duvel super head. $5.29/11.2 ounces is bad value compared to all the American mosaic brews! 9.5% ABV is opposite to the trend to session beers.

2015-04-01. Crisp yellow body with a nice white head. 3+ Aroma is interesting, lightly grassy with a lemon-lime like mineral character, mild fruit touches. 7+ Flavour is dry and relatively alcoholic on first sip, moderate bitterness throughout with mild lemon-lime like fruit as in the aroma, mild pale malt core. Finishes quite dry and fairly alcoholic. Average plus body is fairly effervescent. Tasty but like the regular Duvel I find that the dry prominence of the alcohol is a bit distracting. Bottle from the LCBO c/o Blankboy.
