Duvel Tripel Hop

Bottle. Pale yellow with a very large, white head. Smell is relatively weak, with nice floral notes of hop. Taste is rather sharp and fruity with some acidity and alcohol. A lot of esters and some pear juice. A bit sharp, but a good and interesting beer.

Bottle. Pours a clear orange beer with a big white head. The aroma is hops and yeast. The flavor is sweet and fruits with hops, yeast and notes of alcohol. The palate is round with some warmth. Overall a really nice beer.

75cl bottle. Thanks Fonefan. Pours clear orange with a full large creamy white head and lacings. Nose is a combination of yeast, floral hops, fruit and a bit of alcohol. Citrussy fresh hops, alcohol and Duvel yeast. Smooth, warm and nice.

Cloudy golden with a big and lasting white head. Spicy and fruity aroma with citrus and pine hops. Alcohol is noticed. Intense sweet and fruity flavours with lots of alcohol, some yeast and a faint oxidation.

A clear golden colored beer, with an enormously thick foamy white head. The aroma of spices with hops and fruits like citrus. The taste is fruity, citrus and orange. There are bitter hops with some spices. The aftertaste is dry with some sweets and it stays bitter for a while.

Bottle sampled on 5/22/08: Pours a transparent bright golden with a full-lacing dense froth of white head. Aroma of lightly sweet pale and biscuity malts with a grassy spicy hop nose. Body starts fairly full with a soft carbonation and nice authentic Belgian yeastiness along with smooth sweet biscuity complexity and hop bitterness. Very well balanced and enjoyable.

75cl bottle, thanks for bringing this along, Pat! Hazy golden, huge flyffy pale head w/ tight lacing. Pretty smoothly hopped, sweetish aroma, some citric fruitiness and grass. Flavor has bitter grassy hops, sweetness, little honey, alcohol, duvel yeast, strong peppery & citric bitterness. Medium to full bodied, strongly carbonated silky palate. Duvel with strongly different hopping, seemed surprisingly fresh after all.

Bottle shared at Mugs. Nice belgian character tippicle of Duvel. Nice spice and yeasty bread. Some very green and young taste like moss. A nice crisp finish with much hops at all.
