Thanks a lot Mike. Hazy golden pour, huge gusher of a white head. Aroma is a spicy triple like aroma with some honey and phenolic yeast. Flavor is honey and belgian yeast, spicy and phenolic with light fruits. Not bad at all but not a lot going on.

Bottled. Golden coloured. Unclear. Dense off white head. Yeast, sweetness, spice and herbs in the aroma. Flavour is sweet and spiced. Has some herbal and citric notes. Alcohol is notable. Meidum bodied. Alcohol warmth in the end, which is dominated by a sweet and spicy bitterness. Quite nice.

Pours cloudy with large white head. The aroma presents more hops than normal duvel. The flavor is nice balance between fruit and bitterness. Tasting provider from the manager of the Devonshire Cat. Thanks,

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Grovlam (4108) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 20, 2007
Bottle. [Another great tasting session @ Papsoe] Huge thick bubbly off-white head that mostly lasted. Excellent lacework. Light cloudy sparkling body with a pale golden color. Aroma of classic Duvel with soft notes of hops. Spice, yeast, light fruit, citrus and light grassy and floral notes. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and light dry texture. Moderated sweet flavor with a counter bitterness. Light dry and bitter finish. 7 / 4 / 7 / 3 / 15

Bottled. Yellowish golden colour with small white had. Aroma is caramel, fruits and some yeast. Flavour is fruity, hoppy and slightly caramelly. Also the alcohol gives a slight sweetness to it. Not very much hops kicking in, except for some mild fruity notes.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 sayravai (4548) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 18, 2007
(Bottled, 0.75l@Kerstbierfestival 2007, Essen) Hazy golden with a medium, creamy-lacy head. Honey-malty, reasonably grassy-lemony-hoppy aroma with some flowery American hops added. The flavor is Duvel with some orangey floweriness as well. Don’t expect a hop-bomb, and you’ll surely like this. Way overpriced, though.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 SHIG (2703) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - DEC 17, 2007
Bottle Kerstbierfestival 2007: Poured a golden color with white head. The aroma is hoppy to the nose. Taste is a perfume/floral with hops. Don’t think this lived up to the hype in my opinion.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Bart (2513) - Brussels, BELGIUM - DEC 16, 2007
UPDATED: MAR 6, 2011 Clear blond coloured beer with much carbonation and an average white head. Very fresh hoppy nose with the typical Duvel hints. Full light bitter, sprankling body. Finish is dry bitter, special and light herby with a slight hint of alcohol. Nice but I prefer the regular Duvel.
2010 version: Light hazy yellow blond coloured, lots of carbonation and a huge white head (bot not that solid). Fruity to flowery hoppy hinted aroma. Very refreshing. Full palate. Finish is strong bitter hoppy with a dry slightly alcoholic ending. Nicely balanced, intense hops without being extreme. Matured.
