COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Unique one-off, made with three kinds of hops: Styrian Goldings, Saaz and Amarillo. Dry hopped with more Styrian, and an extra dose of malts to hold up.

Bottled. A hazy light golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma is sweet citrusy hoppy with some spice notes. The flavor is sweet lightly malty with strong notes of malt and citrusy hops. I don’t think the hops and yeast work that well togther.

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of Ungstrup. Hazy, pale golden with a tall, bubbly and very lively, white head. Sweet aroma of malt and yeast. Full-bodied with very sweet malts and a distinct yeastiness. Some medicinal notes. A little low in carbonation. Subdued bitterness. I don’t really recall any of those US/Belgian hybrid beers that have left a markable impression. This was no exception. 191207

75 cL bottle, Kerstbierfestival 2007 in Essen/Belgium. Pours hazy yellow with a dense white head. Aroma is mild peach fruity and citrus fruity in general. Sweet fruity hops flavour with a solid malt base and some fruity note lingering on top. Finish is mellow to sweet not so bitter as such. Nice brew but tastes a bit like a down watered Struise-Mikkeller brew. Not bad but somehow Belgian yeast and american hops just don’t go well together.

Bottled. Yellowish golden colour with small white had. Aroma is caramel, fruits and some yeast. Flavour is fruity, hoppy and slightly caramelly. Also the alcohol gives a slight sweetness to it. Not very much hops kicking in, except for some mild fruity notes.

Bottled, thanks rickgordon! Lightly hazy golden, lasting head. Rich hoppy grassy nose with fruit and doughy malt underneath. A deep mouthfilling flavour of buttery malt and black currant. Hops are evident but not assaulting. Long grassy finish. Very good - one of the better of these new wave hoppy Belgian beers.

Hazy blond color; solid head, big. The aroma is a bit grassy. Dryish mouthfeel, good body strength, a bit spicy. But unfortunately the hop qualities are basically gone. It’s now very similar to the ordinary Duvel.

Clear golden with huge white head. Sweet fruity aroma with yeasty and hoppy notes. Sweet flavor with apricot, peach, yeast and hoppy notes. Alcohol warms you up nicely in the end as the hops kicks.
