Great and not so great, let me explain. The great part is when this beer is cold, all the flavors work well together an the alcohol is barely present. When it warms up it’s a different story. I feel the tulip glass chosen for this beer is also like the beer, both a blessing and a curse. The glass show cases the beer and allows for trapt aromas, however the bigger surface area and thinner glass allows it to warm to quickley. So unless you drink it quick, which is not ideal because of the abv, pick a different glass maybe even a frozen one IMO.

Lovely golden color with a nice white head. Lovely bubbles in the middle of the glass. Aroma is very yeasty, very light. Light and yeasty taste, tones of grains.

Poured to a fluted fest glass at Brixie’s Holiday Beer Tasting in Brookfield, IL. and made sure I got a full serving! Excellent appearance, with a straw hue, thick and silky, white foam, and very clingy drapes of lasting lacing. The nose presented some typical, light yeast, and subtle floral and fruit notes. The flavor offered some hints of grain as wheat-like, and a bit of tartness. Light bitterness, light+ body, lively carbonation, and a pleasant, finishing dryness completed the review. Still a classic!

Bottle, 33 cl. Fantastic golden beer with huge white lasting and lacing beautifuully ustable head, bubbles beautifully rising above. Aroma of grains and light malts. Taste is grainy, malty and finishes light hop bitter, all fantastically balanced. Very good beer to drink, certainly seen the fact it is one of the most commercial beers in Belgium.

The classic blonde. The benchmark blonde. The first Belgian beer I ever tried. Opened at home. Poured from a 33cl bottle bought, sorry folks, at a supermarket. Poured into my Duvel glass. Slowly as possible. The head rose after pourage. Lovely frothy unbalanced head with bubbles clashing on the glass. Thick pure white head. Extreme smell of yeast and malts, citrus and lemon on the nose. Taste is sublime. Sweet citirusy notes, sour edges of fruit and also an excellent accompanyment to food. I would pair this with a salad such as a pate salad with cheese. Mouth feel is medium. Love the tornado affect of the bubbles. My favourite beer to watch is Duvel. So much interraction going on inside the glass. Texture is vey much like a proper wiessbier.

Probably my favorite Belgian beer. Just love the crispness. Glad we can finally get this in Alabama.

Pours a light yellow body, with a large and fluffy head. Aroma is citrusy, like a grapefruit, mild hop. Taste is sweet, fruity and an under pinning of the strong stuff! Nice bitterness for a great ale!
