Somewhat opaque yellow pour with a big, billowy, frothy white head; really nice lacing as well. Aroma holds lots of zesty lemon, definite Belgian yeast qualities, a bit of floral hop, light spice notes, and a bit of alcohol coating the inside of the nose. Flavor holds lots of yeast, lemon, grain, and a definite boozy quality. Pretty intense flavor that one wouldn’t expect if they just saw this light colored beer without knowing what it was. Think the name "Duvel" has had something to do with it being as high as a 94 style % for Belgian Strongs, but still a really cool yeast character, and a solid beer overall.

has a lovely sunny yellow colour a bit cloudy.smells like copper, hard to describe the taste fruit and spice come through clean bitter finish, very easy to drink given its potency a high fizz helps to jumble it all together.

750 ml bottle in to a Duvel Tulip Glass. Bottle conditioned for about 4 years. Pours a clear straw color with a very big and thick fluffy white head. Excellent head retention and lots of lacing. Bubbles were still rising from the middle of the glass after 20 mins. Just looking at this beer is an experience in itself. The nose has floral, spice, yeast, and clove. Light to medium body with lots of carbonation. Fruity sweetness with some spice and pale malts. Occasional earthiness. Very drinkable. On my first trip to Belgium a few ago, a colleague introduced me to Belgian beers. The first beer was Duvel and as a result I might be a little biased towards it (The same way Keystone Ice will always have a place in my heart from my high school days). I think I’ll always consider Duvel one of my favorites.

Pous bright yellow with a very tall thick head. Smells like a skunky Euro lager, but a bit more complex. THe flavour is very fresh, hoppy, and citrus. lots of Saaz, Its kind of like a Belgian Pilsner. I like.

pours copper with a substantial white head and plenty of lacing. The aroma is damp wheat and banana. The taste is slightly sour and spicy. Unique and tasty.

Pale beer with similarities to trapiste beers. Good head and medium body. Nice as desert.

It’s not that bad, impressive head, but definitely not what’s it’s cracked up to be.
