4.2 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a cloudy straw colour, with a robust white head. Aroma is dominated by the peppery off-sweet yeast scents. Other aroma notes include sour fruits, and fruity esters. Tasting notes includes lots apple, apricot, and sour fruits. The yeast gives this beer a lively palate, and a slight peppery finish. This is an excellent beer!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Most-known and most popular Belgian Strong Ale, and it lives up to it’s status. Really nice, drinkable-but-strong beer. Aroma is sweet, with some fruity notes, medium bitterness. Pours golden, clear with long lasting head. Alcohol is noticeable when warmed up, but it is not disturbing. Very nice beer.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
330ml bottle, poured into a Duvel Tulip glass. Appearance is hazy straw yellow with a large airy white head that reduced quickly, leaving a little lacing. Aroma of lemon peels, banana, pears and wheat bread. Flavours of lemon peels, wheat bread, banana and a hint of spices and herbs. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter. Palate is medium-light bodied, smooth texture and lively carbonation. Duvel is what I consider the benchmark style typical Belgian Pale Strong Ale, and the official Duvel Tulip glass is one of my favourite drinking vessels. It’s a well brewed, balanced and easy to drink beer despite the 8.5% ABV. There are certainly more complex flavoured Belgian Ales especially from the Trappist breweries, and American interpretations of the style are often hoppier or spicier. But Duvel is what I recommend everyone who has not had a Belgian Pale Strong Ale to start with.

Botella de 330ml. Copa Tulipa amplia de Duvel. Color oro brillante y cristalina. Retrogusto afrutado.
