Four generations of the Moortgat family have brought together Pilsner malts, Bohemian hops, and a unique yeast strain to create this intense, aromatic and beguiling ale. This Belgian favourite is best enjoyed chilled (40 - 50 F) with discerning friends or good-looking strangers.

Good strong ale here. Has a sour aroma and a minimal head. Similar taste to the Delirium Tremens but much better when it comes to taste. Pairs well with Doritos Zesty Cheese Nacho chips.

It was a bit too hazy but it contains nice aromas. It was sweet but I could enjoy it :) Not an easy beer.

Olhăo 12/7 2016. 33 cl bottle from Continente Modelo Supermarket. Funny chunky little bottle. Pours slightly hazy pale yellow with impressive white head. Settles as several centimeters thick crown of foam. Aroma Belgian yeast, banana and some earthy sourness. Medium carbonation and thick creamy palate. Flavor is rather tart and sour with only subdued sweetness. Sourness lingers in the aftertaste. A fine Belgian with a sour but pleasant edge.

Cloudy wheat yellow color with medium white foam. Aromas of wheat malt, yeast, light fruit acidity in smell with notes of light bread and this aged beer aroma. medium to heavy body with noticable carbonation and smooth rounded texture leaving sweet lightly boozy warming finish. Taste is sweet and boozy with warming touch to it folowed by notes of bananas, and hazlenuts? Overall, quite enjoyable, not too easy going but not mindblowing in my opinion as sometimes is presented.

Hosszú utóízében is a komló keserűje dominál. Nagyon finom, testes sör.

medium aroma, quite spicy and sweet - sour-tempered/stinking apricots, malt, honey. medium taste, explosive and spicy - malt, herbs, pepper, some honey and wild herbs, some hop bitterness; above average acidity, lively carbonation, light body.

Strong ale but not much in the taste gives that away. Well balanced with a feel of weiss to it. Both mild and fresh.

Ljus med ett stort skum. Jäst och koriander i smaken, lite alkohol, hyfsat fyllig men inte min grej ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Yellow with a large, white head. A bit hazy. Nice aromas of yeast and alcohol. Taste is big - sweet, yeast, alcohol, but they all mix very well. Long, warming finish that diminish slowly. Great Belgian Strong!
