Four generations of the Moortgat family have brought together Pilsner malts, Bohemian hops, and a unique yeast strain to create this intense, aromatic and beguiling ale. This Belgian favourite is best enjoyed chilled (40 - 50 F) with discerning friends or good-looking strangers.

Pours a pale clear yellow with a big, frothy white head that fades pretty quickly. Aroma of ripe pear, pepper, dominant yeast, grapes, floral notes, alcohol and a hint of citrus fruits. Taste is sweet, mildly sour. Smooth creamy mouth feel, medium but light body, lively carbonation, pleasant lightly bitter finish. Had a few of these when I lived in Belgium, very good beer, intense and great with cheese and Dijon mustard or dark chocolate. The level of intensity in flavour always reminds me of white wine.

Aroma a levadura, ¿trigo?, malta...

UPDATED: OCT 3, 2016 Bottle, 0.33l. Pours cloudy golden body with very visible carbonation and massive, long lasting, frothy white head. Lots of lacing on the glass. Smell of malts, wheat, yeast, bread. Caramel as it warms up. Medium body with high, but soft carbonation. Smooth and thick texture. Taste is surprisingly on the bitter side, not nearly as sweet as I expected. Really nice. Aroma of malts, yeast, bread, wheat, caramel, licorice. Spicy and peppery. Strong alcohol presence. Rich aroma, beautifully balanced. Overall, excellent brew.

Poured from an 11.2 oz bottle into a tulip producing an immediate thick, large, white head that’s very persistent and laces like crazy. A very clear, golden color. Medium body with lively carbonation and great mouthfeel. Complex, lemony, crisp, long warming finish. Excellent.
