pootzboy (863), Calgary/ Kitchener, Alberta, Canada Jun 11, 2004 Poured a slightly hazey pale starw color with a miraculous chunky white head that lasts and lasts. Tons of effervescence from a bottle conditioned ale spirals up the glass sides. Aromas of lemon, pepper and dried bread. Starts with a shocking schwak of citrusy peppery power then the palate fills with complex spicy, nutty tastes then a clean dry finish wher the hops linger with the spicy aftertastes...WoW!! This is a pale, dry, balanced, bottle conditioned high strenght ale that delivers taste, refreshes and warms...pretty much sex in a bottle.

Aroma i fruity, lemonlike smells a bit like parfume there is also aroma of malt. flavour is acidic and rather dry the presence of the alcohol is clear and there is biterness at the end. Dangerous stuff! DrDavid (191), , Vermont, USA Aug 31, 2008 (Bottle). Floral fruity aroma. Cloudy yellow color with large white head. Lots of carbonation. Flavor is complex, sweet, and with delicious malty body. Lingering finish. Perhaps a bit over-rated, but still a delightful and satisfying beer.
