Well what can I say? Duvel is so highly rated, but just does not fit my taste. The beer is good, don’t get me wrong, but does not blow me away as a king of beers. The aroma was great with a moderate yeasty kind of a doughy smell to it. A hint of honey was also detected and lasted all the way through the drink. The look and appearance is what really amazed me about the beer as it had a frothy fully lasting white head to it, and looked as if it were dancing in the glass. The golden hue was sparkling all the way down to the bottom and was clear as can be. Once I tasted it, it struck me with a heavy acidic flavor both in the beginning and the end. The yeast comes through with a hint of citrus and a long finishing flavor that lingers on the plate. Almost like a slight metallic finishing flavor to it. It had a light dry body that fizzed in my mouth. Again it seemed to have a bit of a metallic aftermath to it. A beer that would be good in paring with food, but not one I would chug. It does have some nice refreshment value to it. A beer that is to be celebrated and enjoyed, however, not an everyday type of beer I would consider. Drink on.

Can’t get sick of it, after gallons and gallons...the best of its kind, the devil of strong ales ! By the way, Duvel is NOT served on tap.

Bottle, 33 cl. Strong, but not overwhelming. Overall well balanced, nice in its entity.

Aroma has notes of citrus and malt. Cloudy and strawcoloured, with a long foamy head. Intense medium-dry taste with significant bitterness and acid. The alcohol is noticeable. Light body with lively carbonation. Long finish. This is a good beer but not my favourite kind of Belgian ale.

Aroma of Belgian yeast, some lime. Pours golden with very nice white head. Taste is medium sweet with peach, spices and citrus with bitter finish. Alcohol is perfectly hidden. A classic Belgian Golden Ale always stays in a good shape.

330 ml bottle. Pours a cloudy, pale yellow with a huge, long lasting, white head that laces. Yeasty aroma with spice. Sweet fruity flavour with yeast and a dry, spicy, alcohol finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation.

The aroma I get is pure Belgian yeast with a little bit of lemon and malt. Brew is a pilsner yellow, while the head is a lot like bubble bath. The taste is very pleasant and smooth. Yeasty all the way, sweet but not too sweet and crisp. That malt comes across a bit fruity to me, as some do, but it almost has a citrus hint to it. Light oily film develops in the mouth, but it’s not unpleasant. Smooth finish, in other words. It doesn’t look like much, doesn’t have much in the way of aroma, but I could drink this stuff all day. Fantastic!

Aroma frutal muy agradable. Sorprende la carbonatación que ayuda a llevar a lengua y paladar un extraodinario y complejo sabor que llena completamente

Pours beautiful golden with great head. Strong nose, a bit like like cream corn. Medium mouthfeel and high carbonation. Upfront spicy flavours followed by pleasant bitterness. Great beer

Cor palha, translúcida. Espuma boa e persistente. Aroma de frutas cítricas, cereais e especiarias. No paladar notas de casca de laranja, um leve dulçor e amargo no final. Altamente equilibrada entre o dulçor, amargor e álcool. Retrogosto seco. Excelente!!!!
