4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 UDBeernut (904) - Near Buffalo, New York, USA - FEB 24, 2012For as many times a I have this, that I never did a review. Straw yellow capped by a large foamy white head. Bubbling carbonation. Alcohol, cracker, light grass, an booze waft in the nose. Sweet bodied with crockery goodness. Alcohol says hello. Light bodied yum! Surprising is a good choice for gateway beers for the gmc crowd as my research has proven.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 pinkie (145) - New York, USA - JUN 17, 2013
Pours sparkling and with champagne effervescence and brilliant clarity. Light straw color, gold, with a terrific head of white foam that sat on top and fell slowly to patterned lacing. Picturesque. The nose is splendid. Fruity with apple and some yeasty spice. Pear, white grape, pepper and clove. Light pale malt underneath fresh grass and a touch of musty earth for depth. Taste is elegant and light. Fruit and spice perfectly matched with a light grain malt that tickled the palate with the sensation of bubbles as the flavors flourish. The body of the beer is soft and creamy, bright and animated. Grassy notes and earth add depth and it sports a touch of white grape to remind one of champagne not only in looks but in taste and in a sparkling dry finish.
Fruits engage the palate and the sour makes the mouth water. The light grain malt sways and bends across the tongue for a feeling that is light and refreshing. The champagne bubbles tickle you and the dry finish is complimentary. There is a touch more alcohol than you might at first realize and that is ticklish too and makes you smile as it warms you. The pear comes out more and the grainy malt starts fluffy but then deepens slightly to remind you of a still life painting with fruit and bread and cheese. This is a work of art. Radiant and pleasing to the senses. Captivating.
4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 EtTuCthulhu (464) - Columbia, Missouri, USA - JUN 16, 2013
This beer looks like champagne due to how light of a yellow it is, how great the retention on the large and white head is, and how bubbly it is. The aroma hits you strongly with sour fruit notes and follows up subtly with dough yeast. The taste is very well balanced with mild sourness and mild sweetness, and the palate is a crisp combination of a light body, average carbonation, thin texture, and a sour finish.

Nice golden ale but over rated IMO. For the ABV of 8.5% I would be expecting more flavour. But a very decent beer.
4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 AtronSeige (81) - Johannesburg, SOUTH AFRICA - JUN 15, 2013
Aroma: Medium sour, grain, spiciness, orange
Appearance: pale light golden, large amount of bubbles, very large frothy white head, long lasting, cloudy, lacing
Taste: long lasting bitter, spicy, slight alcohol warming
Palate: dry, medium bodied with loads of carbonation.
Overall: A very enjoyable beer. Would recommend.

33cl bottle. Somehow I always end up disappointed after I’ve ordered a Duvel. Although it is a nice strong belgian beer, it’s name is bigger then it’s regular beer. I really prefer the hard to come by Green one.

szinte tökéletes belga ale, élesztő jegyekkel, kandicukor ízzel és némi kiérezhető alkoholossággal

UPDATED: JUN 19, 2013 Golden to pale coloured beer with lots of white head. Aroma has some citrus fruits and yeastiness typical to a blonde Belgian. Also some notes of alcohol in the aroma. Pretty sour taste with again hints of citrus fruits. Dry finish. Usually starts to taste better towards the end of the glass.
This was my first craft beer and the beer that got me away from drinking mass produced lagers. It’s not my favourite anymore, but will hold a special status forever.

Hazy yellow pour. Lemon grass, ginger and some barnyard on the nose. Flavour is spicey and yeasty. Quite effervescent, with a bit of an alcohol warmth on the finish.
