3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Been waiting to try this for a long time. Pours a very light yellow and a big fluffy white head. Aroma is not the strongest however it has some nice fruity notes and typical Belgian smells. This beer was a lot lighter than I expected. Dark fruits, Belgian yeast and some caramel flavours dominate the taste. The more you drink, the more alcohol became more prominent. Not my favorite Belgian ale but still very good.

Had this on several occasions and in several sizes, mostly in a Duvel glass. The most occasional drink of em all - steady high quality has made this an outstanding average beer compared to other industrial brands. Positioning and value proposition is unique and many tried but no one came close to the original taste. Pours clear crisp golden with a huge white head. Nose is bitter lemon zeste, a bit of yeast and some malt. Light body but lots of carbonation and gentle sweetness and bitterness. Shallow taste, little citrussy taste, yeasty, but overall a great thirst quencher.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle @ home.

When I get the chance and find this beer I buy a ton of it. It is a fun beer to serve and give to friends/ family. The head on this beer is large and takes a bit of getting use to but it's worth it. Try it out!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle - Moderate aggressive pour. Beautiful snow white head was long lasting. Pear color liquid. Aroma screams of yeast with a bit of sweetness remaining in the nose. Full body and very nice on the pallet. Taste is full of yeast and bread notes and just what you would expect from a great Belgium strong ale. Alcohol is well hidden. Finish oddly enough reminds me of a whiskey barrel. Again, great body on this beer. Not too complex, but very enjoyable to drink again and again. Wouldja - Yes!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Smells sweet and almost like sake. Pours clear golden with a thin white head, good carbonation. First sip is bland but it finishes with a dry rice flavor.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Light golden body with just a minimal cloudiness. Head is massive and lasting. Nose is covered by the lucrative foamy head at first, later yielding mild aromas of yeast, sour dough and fruits. Taste is strong and balances nicely between bitter and sweet and finishes with the warmth of alcohol. Carbonation is lively and bubbles keep flowing from the bottom of the glass.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Poured in a Duvel tulip.
A - Hazy golden straw with 2 fingers of delicate white foam. Awesome retention and a ridiculous amount of lacing.
S - Sweet grassy aroma, twangy Belgian yeast, soft grain, over ripened golden delicious apples at first, but as it warms up the acidity comes out make it more of a tart aroma. Unknown spice and hints of alcohol.
T - Sweet grainy malt, spicy hops, some sourness comes through the middle, with tart apples in the background. It has an herbal bite towards the end. Finishes dry and slightly acidic.
M - Medium body, moderate carbonation.
Great yeast strain! The sour and acidic qualities really make this beer stand out. It’s complex but focused.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at the Hairy Canary, Brussels. Blond ale with a decent head. Aroma is weak citrus. Tangy acidic citrus taste that hides its ABV and lacks depth. Therr are better beers with a much lower strength.
