750ml bottle. This beer is highly carbonated. The head is white fluffy and amazing. I didn’t get a huge aroma from my bottle, but what I did get what a skunky german lager and belgian yeast smelling mix. This beer is really different in that it’s a drinkable belgian with high abv and solid up front belgian yeast flavors, but with a easy and light finish almost like an american yellow piss beer. If you’re a belgian fan get it. It’s legit.

A 330ml bottle dated best before November 2015 and poured into a Duvel tulip glass. The beer poured a slightly hazy golden straw yellow colour with maybe just under a two finger creamy white head that dissipated slowly leaving nice stringy lacing. Main aromas of citrus lemon and banana with slight funk followed by some lighter grassy and flowery smells. Tastes starts with bitter, tart and slightly sour citrus lemon, pear and apple followed by banana and honey sweetness. Light to medium bodied with high carbonation and a dry finish. Overall this was not a bad beer. But if I was to compare to others in this style, off the top of my head I do prefer both Delirium Tremens and La Chouffe before Duvel and unfortunately for Duvel, both of them are as widely available in Hong Kong.

One of the best specialty beers on the market , but it has too much carbon dioxide.

Bottiglia. Carbonatazione vivace, birra secca e beverina. Buona!

very light yellow yeasty saison sour with a full mouthfeel high carb. But lighter on the taste with a little sweeetness. Easy drinking for 8.5%!

Bitter sweet with malty character. I taste bret in this beer along with green apples, lime and caramel. Definitely a nice glass

I don´t know, it is bitter sweet. It has a typical Belgian sweetness to it but then the quite bitter hops come. I don´t like when a beer has both. It should be sweet or bitter. Na ah, not both.

One of my all time favourite beers, quite iconic beer as well. Huge head with clear golden colour result in an excellent presentation. Nice malty and fruity aroma. Great on palate as well, being so high on voltage, yet so easily drinkable. Highly recommended.

Lovely maltiness, dried fruits, peach, light yeast. Moderate sweet with light bitterness and light tartness. Drinkable, but bit too simple for likeable Belgian

Pours dark lemon yellow. Head is ivory and thick. Aroma is spruce, biscuit, lemon zest, boiled egg. Powerful, strong. Long finish, very bitter.

Foam: huge white frothy head. Colour: light coloured, hazy opaque pale yellow. Aroma: pears, orange peel, green apples, a hint of hops, herbs, yeast. Taste: medium to light body, lively carbonation, very refreshing, crisp, some fruits, Saaz hops bitter with nice malt balance, great dry green pepper aftertaste, fine tasting Belgian strong ale.
