Four generations of the Moortgat family have brought together Pilsner malts, Bohemian hops, and a unique yeast strain to create this intense, aromatic and beguiling ale. This Belgian favourite is best enjoyed chilled (40 - 50 F) with discerning friends or good-looking strangers.

Light golden colour in appearance. Belgian slightly spicy yeasty aroma. Smooth, strong taste. Not my favourite style beer so my score is probably slightly biased.Still a good beer none the less.

BBE 11-2016. Kultaisen kuulas, iso ja nopea vaahto. Ilmava, sammunut, raikkaahko tuoksu. Suutuntuma makean hedelmäinen, kuohuva, hapokkaahko, myös jokin outo elementti. Ei erityisen nautittavaa, mutta keskitasoa parempaa.

My favorite all year ale. Pour it into their uniquely shaped glass and you can see the quality. The head is to die for!

Kita (1671) - Koper, SLOVENIA - FEB 2, 2016
Bottle, 0.33l. Clear deep golden color with thick soapy off-white head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of yeast, dried fruits, cereals, alcohol and spices. Taste starts with moderate sweet caramel and toasted malt, following is fruity and yeast, mouth feel is spicy, warming alcoholic and rather dry, while finish is moderate bitter. Medium to full body, thick texture and average carbonation in palate. Classic must try...

Butelka 330ml. Z?ote w kolorze o obfitej bia?ej pianie. Widaç jak to piwo zyje w odpowiedniej szklance pieknie "buzujac". W zapachu czuc drozdze lekkie cytrusy i banany. Piwo wydaje sie lekkie mimo 8,5 procenta bogate smakowo i swietnie zbalansowane. W smaku czuc banany cytrusy kolander i delikatny chmielowy finisz. Swietny przyklad belgiskiego piwa.

Bottle. Clear yellow with a large white head with good retention and lace. Nose has honey, grass, hay, golden bread. Flavour follows: honey, dry flowers, golden bread, white pepper, hay, dry grass, apricot, peach. Medium body, lively carbonation, mild sweet with matching bitterness. Crisp finish with lingering honey. The alcohol doesn’t show and it drinks all too easy. Perhaps the flavours could be a bit brighter, but the mouthfeel and finish is very pleasant. Fine beverage.

The purest white pillow of everlasting dense foam on top of clear straw color. Aroma is slight citrus zest and mild spice. Yeasty esters dominate the taste. It’s fairly dry, and very carbonated. with a bit of a tart finish I enjoy Delirium more.
