Lovely beer, in glass itís a golden clear beer with a stable white foam head. The smell reminds corn, bread, nuts, floral, and ginger notes. When itís tasted it have a medium body with a strong malt flavor and a alcoholic final.

Pale, pale straw colour. Huge white head. Fine white lacing. Sweet aroma of unripe bananas, with some coriander. Similar tastw. Dry mouthfeel. Good drinkability, considering the high ABV.

Huge pillowy white head that dissipates relatively quickly. Moderate lacing. Pepper and lemony aromas that continue in the flavor. Crisp, dry finish. Lives up to the hype.

4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
DATE REVIEWED: June 26, 2014... GLASSWARE: Duvel snifter... OCCASION: NBA Draft Day 2014--Cavs take Wiggins and intend to keep him...APPEARANCE: two-tiered head--rocky, mountainous atop bubbly,, crystal white that occupies half the glass; slightly opaque golden body with a wellspring of bubbles centering the glass; lacing is appealing... AROMA: brilliant pilsner introduction; fragrant floral, perfumed hops; some suggestions of pepper...desirable... PALATE: quick, aggressively smooth with a solid, lingering finish--a bit dry and mouth-watering... TASTE: honey and hops are warming--nectar of the gods! a bit sweet, like a Riesling--but oh so rewarding... OVERALLL: only three sips are needed to bring the tingle, not unlike your team drafting first overall for the third time in four years; as its name suggests, sadistically drinkable, tempting with crisp, clean flavor, then punishing with cruel, powerful alcoholic hammers...the steep price--literally and figuratively--is unfortunately warranted.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Had out of the bottle at Brothers Beer Bistro in Ottawa, Tender delivered it with a perfect pour; with a heaping white frothy head on the clear, golden body, leaving the yeast in the bottle. So effervescent with so many yeast esters coming in the aroma. The flavour very much follows the aroma and it drinks incredibly smooth for 8.5%. The perfect night cap for the evening.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Quite intensive aroma of Belgian yeast. Big rocky and durable head. Straw cloudy body. Belgian yeast also noticeable in taste with pleasant and not overwhelming bitterness and appropriate sweetness.

33cl bottle. Another one of those I canít believe I havenít rated yet. Had this at the White Horse, Parsons Green. Pours vibrant gold with thick fluffy head. Highly carbonated with sweet Belgian malts and a light bitterness. Always a pleasure to reacquaint myself with this. Lovely stuff.
