This light yellow beer is hard to pour with a thick head lasting quite sometime as with other Belgium Strong Ales; a bad pour will ruin your experience. After letting it get some air, this beer is pleasing to the pallet with a citrus aroma and taste with a bit of hops and yeast showing after a bit. This beer has quite a bit of carbonation that complements the beer very nice. Nice balance of flavor, great beer with a fair amount of alcohol.

Oct 3, 2008 Very pleasantly surprised! Enigmatic beer actually. Hoppy and wheaty with a touch of citrus like Hoegaarden. Taste is smooth and silky with that classic Belgian wheat beer taste. I feel like it’s more of a Saison like Ommegang Hennepin than a Belgian Strong Ale but hey, I like it so I’m not gonna complain. Great beer!

Oct 3, 2008 Full malty aroma with notes of peach. Pours with a rich head and a clear golden color. Sweet & fruity in flavor, backed up by a pleasant taste of hops. I had high expectations for this beer and while it is a very solid ale, I wasn’t blown away by it.

Oct 3, 2008 From bottle. Poured clear dark yellow with large frothy white head. Aromas of citrus and slight yeast. Tastes very complex with hops starting off and giving way to a malty finish. No hint of alcohol.
