3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Definitely my favorite Belgian beer, although Chimay Blue is the other that I like. I had a Duvel month a couple of years ago, when I drank it several times a week. But after the first bottle, which I thought was one of the finest beers I ever had, it got old, and fast. I just don’t like Belgian beers. Definitely in large part because the yeast they use tastes terrible. I think that you are either a Belgian fan or you aren’t.

Straw yellow with hefty white foam head. Aroma of malt and citrus. Taste is fresh fruity with an average bitterness. Just right.

3/2 Bottle - Nice pour, dark orange in colour with minimal white head. Fruity malt smell was pleasant. Tasted somewhat strong, decent texture, felt good drinking it. Didn’t feel as strong as the ABV. Overall good beer offering.

bottle at home. golden shiny clear color, big white head. smells yeasty, citric, grassy. full body, quite bubbly, lots of carbonation, grainy, light astringency, fruity, apples, spices, peppery, some sweetness, rather dry / bubbly grainy finish which is succeeded by a light fruity/sweet taste. good, but a bit boring.

Bardzo dobry reprezentant typowego belgijskiego piwa. Choć wolę triple lub quadruple, raz na jakiś czas można spróbować czegoś bardziej "zwykłego", o ile można tak mówić w przypadku tego piwa.

33cl. bottle. Heavily commercialized beer from Belgium. Though is has become much sweeter than 10 or 15 years ago, it still remains my favorite strong ale. Great citrus like aroma, golden appearance which is very vivid carbonization. The foam is legendary. The taste and palate too. A great drink.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20
From 750ml, about $11 at grocery store, poured into Ommegang 16oz tulip glass
Aroma: bread, spice, dough, banana, wheat, spice
Appearance: initially clear, but hazy as the sediment mixes, golden, big frothy white head
Taste: light sweet, light bitter
Palate: light body, lively carbonation
Overall: One of my favorite Belgian beer. Just incredible. Bottles are super easy to find and reasonably priced even when compared to local 22s/750s. Just a great Belgian beer. Can’t taste the alcohol. Very nice yeast characteristics.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
słomkowe, klarowne, trwała piana od drobnej do średniej ładnie zdobi
pomarańcze, mosiądz, banany, goździki, limonka
landrynki, owoce - cytrusy i brzoskwinie, goryczka świetnie kontruje
treściwe, mocno nasycone, finisz kwaskowy i owocowy, alkohol lekko grzeje w przełyk, po pewnym czasie przychodzi goryczka i chwilę trwa
całkiem niezłe, mniej nagazowane byloby jeszcze lepsze

3.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle .33. Light gold colored. Hoppy and lightly bitter aroma. A tad floral also. Lively carbonation. Frothy to creamy head with good lacing. Medium bready flavored body warmed by it’s alcohol. Creamy floral initial with spicy and slightly dry finish. Excellent tasting example of a "full bear". Mainstream Ale at it’s finest.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
330ml bottle. 10 2016. Very pale straw colour, effervescent, towering white head which refused to go away and sensational lacing. Gentle fruity aroma of apples and pears, floral, yeast, and some alcohol. Light fruity sweetness and light to medium bitterness. Smooth, medium bodied and spritzy with a bitter, dryness in the finish. Slight alcohol warmth. Perilously drinkable at 8.5%abv. A classic. 10.
