2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
0.25 l from tap at local pub in Paris (just beside Gare de l’est). Looks like bière blonde. Taste is a bit sweetish (from the alcohol). I could have liked a bit more hops. Not my favourite.

Bottle as Patrimoine Gourmand Abbaye de Fontenelle, Biere blonde, 6.6%. The beer pours out in a hazy blonde colour with airy head and medium body. Aroma of Belgian yeats, wheat and bread. Taste of yeast, bread, wheat, metall, grains and sugar. Malty-sweet finish with metallic hints. Couldn’t enjoy it.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Cannot imagine what this one has to do with an Abbey. Maybe its slightly brownish look. High carbo, some grains and a taste which remembers me some wood and sweetners. Unbalanced bitterness towards the end combined with some leaves in your moth. Not to recommend.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A 750 ml bottle picked up in Sarreguemines, France. Pours clear copper beer with medium head. Smells fairly of wheat and hay. Aroma is sweet, wheat comes through, good, solid body, finish is good too. A decent beer, but performed less than expected. Much better Belgians to be had from the same region and same price scale.
