Mettalic bottle. Wow. Well, I give it a few points for trying. Really anise flavour in beer is not a good combo.

Gold in colour, with medium carbonation. Aromas of black licorice and allspice, with a bit of light malt in the background. More of the same in the mouth, but with a kind of a poorly made strong lager component (estery in a bad way). Heavy bodied as well, which seems quite out of place. This is not a good beer at all, but it’s more bizzare than disgusting.

Bottle- Notes from 09/25/06- Bottle at Chaucer’s. It’s sparkling and gold with a 1/4 finger white ring. Weird spicy aroma. Like cirtus with weirdo malts and pepper. It does have a bit of anise-seed flavour, some lime skin, and some bittering hops. Pretty boozey, I’d say 10% as opposed to the 7.5. This beer is absolutely unecessary.

Deep gold; irregular just off-white head. Usually I smell this in a place where they manufacture hardboard, wallpaper or linoleum. Some child’s green sweets smell like this too. Those child’s sweets return in the taste - with an extra chemical edge. Slick, oily MF, medium bodied. This is beyond words.

Very odd aroma. Olives, sassafrass, pungent meat. Chorizo sausage and morbiere cheese. Hops and no malts. Horrible. Beer is clear amber yellow, with no head to speak of. Medium-heavy watery body, with light to medium carbonation. Starts with slightly salty melon-liquer taste, medicinal. Finishes with melonball sweet/acidic notes, like muskmelon that's gone south. After is an odd metallic bitter. Horrible taste, not refreshing. Actually left a bad feeling in my stomach after drinking. Drain pour.
