(Bottle 33 cl) Slightly hazy, pale golden with a small, white head. Distinct aroma of ginger. Body is rather light with a weak, underlying sweetness. Otherwise it’s ginger all over. Pretty dry but no real bitterness. Weird aluminum bottle. 240805
1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 omhper (15600) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAR 4, 2004
Bottled. Pale golden. Lemony ginger marmalade aroma. Very sweet and artificial. Desperados-like...
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 fiulijn (10000) - Como, ITALY - DEC 26, 2005
Tin bottle Blond color. Aroma of lemonade, light herbs (rosemary), very light ginger. Some malt, some sweetness, drier at the end; light herbal character, quite unpleasant.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 Maria (7805) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAR 1, 2007
July 05. Straw with a weak head. The aroma has a lot of ginger, just like the flavour, that is slightly metallic and rather thin, it reminds me of a lager with ginger. Not a nice one IMO.
1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 Bov (7098) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - JAN 27, 2004
clear golden colour, few foam, lemon and ginger aroma, medium to high carbonation, sweet and light-bodied with a watery finish - very poor
0.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20 JoeMcPhee (6835) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - APR 19, 2006
330 ml metal bottle. Pale golden beer, thin white head. Aroma is soapy, faint ginger and sweet lemon-lime soda. Flavour is sweet and nasty with sugary notes of Desparados. Only Duyck can deliver this kind of vile nastiness. Both sweet and metallic. Vile.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Lubiere (6707) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 30, 2005
Light golden colour with a thin lacing white head. Spiced malt with the ginger comming discretely. In mouth, light bodied beer with faint ginger marrying well with the sweet malt. Some juniper notes come out. Quite decent for a ginger beer, but too restrained. Bought at LCBO.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 maeib (6402) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - OCT 17, 2005
Can/bottle hybrid (Cottle?). A blonde coloured beer with a large whit head and reasonable lacing. The aroma is heavy on the ginger together with a little toilet cleaner which seems common in these ginger beers. The taste is like a reasonable golden ale with some subtle ginger notes. Quite thin but tasty.
