Can. Copper brown with a medium white head. Aroma has metal, grain and nut. Taste has fruit, grain and metal. Oddly bitter overall with a nastyish aftertaste. Too strong on the alcohol level. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

BB 18/03/2015. Poured a dark coppery brown with an of white collar. Laced poorly. Carbonation moderate with small bubbles. Aroma subtly of caramel. Taste had very sweet fruits dominating with slight alcohol coming through. Light to medium body. Sweet with a fruity finish. Overall too sweet

Pours a deep orange-amber with a fluffy white head, which quickly and fully dissipates. Weakish aromas of dough and caramel. Rather sweet altogether with a whiskey-like malty finish and an alcoholic aftertaste. A medium-highly carbonated body that becomes fizzier in the mouth. A quite enjoyable amber, but nothing to write home about.

Une bière certes basique mais agréable dans son genre. A considerer comme une valeur sure au vu de son prix !

Bière de base certes mais qui se boit avec plaisir lorsqu’elle est bien fraîche. Belle ambrée.

From 750 ml bottle. Pours a clear copper-amber with a thin white head and moderate carbonation. Aromas of grassy noble hops, white bread, caramel and a hint of lemon. Taste is rather different with pear, baked apple, raisin and toffee at the front. Light lemony bite in the mid palate with a clean finish. Fruity aftertaste. Not my favourite Jenlain but pretty good all the same.

Bottle @ The No Creepy Country Ticks Tasting, courtesy of deanso. Pours a clear orange beer with a big white head on top. Aroma of butter, malts and caramel with a big yeasty presence as well. Flavor is very artificial, light sweet and boring. Medium long, light sweet aftertaste. Really not that good actually.

Bottle 750 ml at home, poured into a tulip glass. recently expired as I see, but it’s a Biere de Garde, so I guess it’s okay. ABV 7.5% Very dark orange colour on the body, one could say light amber. Transparent body, no activity in it. Small off-white head with low retention and minimal lacing left behind. Aroma of malts, caramel, well that’s it, maybe some toffee a well and some floral notes too. Sweet taste with lots of caramel in it, quite malty, toffee and some butter. Medium body, carbonation on good levels, heading towards the high side but without being annoying, good dryness on the palate. Overall an okay beer, nothing to get excited about.
