500 ml can in Dakar, Senegal. I finally found a beer I like in Senegal. Pours a gold copper color with a nice tan head and some good lace. Nose is fairly tame, but has nice characteristics of light fruit, toffee, nuts, and some earthiness. Taste is mildly sweet and fruity. Feel is light and rewarding. A mellow, well integrated beer that is one of the first Biere de Gardes that I have tried.

0,33 l. bottle in to a snifter. Clear, amber colour with a small, white head that lasted. Malty aroma with bread, caramel, herbs, something earthy and used tea-bags (!?) Light bitter malty taste, with bread and earth notes. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft carbonated with an astringent finish with malts and that weird used tea-bag flavour. I liked this one despite the unusual flavours.

0,75l bottle. Pours rusty amber clear with white thick head. Aromas sweet malts, some hay, grains , maybe nuts. Texture is slightly sticky yet watery with medium carbonation. palate is sweets malts, basement and weak hoppiness, almost no bitterness. Finish is sweet and short. Drinkable, but rather standard, not much going on, For 7,5 ABV very smooth though at expense too sweet aftertaste.

750 ml. Clear amber with a lasting quarter-inch of meringue. Mild nose of earthy wood, apples, cheese, and pears. Taste is brown sugar and apple cider, with some light woody bitterness. Not much funk, but there is a sourish twinge. Medium body is almost cloying, and a little too fizzy.
