(33 cl bottle from Brødrene D; BBD: November 29th 2012) Pours a clear amber with medium off-white head. Good lace and lively carbonation. Aroma is a pleasantly, subdued leafy with practically no hop impression but mostly some bready malt with fruity esters also being present. Oily texture with lively carbonation, medium body and a slightly bitter finish. Taste is initially mildly sweet from the flavour but ends on a mildly bitter note. Well balanced and easily drinkable despite the ABV.

From a 750ml caged corked bottle. Copper brown appearance with medium white head. Aroma and flavour is sweet nutty caramel malts with light spicy elements and alcohol. Finishes sweet and lightly spicy. Medium bodied with an oily texture. More like an Abbey Dubbel than a Biere de Garde in my opinion. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the GJBF, I was told it was 6.5%? It poured a clear amber with a nice fruity mal aroma. The body was fairly light and it had a slick mouthfeel The taste was fruity with a touch of grapes and caramel. Alright.

Gedronken op het terras bij palais de bierre in dijon. Aangenaam amber met een mooie schuimkraag. In geur en smaak caramel en mout tonen. Een van de betere Belgische biertjes deze vakantie. Juli 2014

Amber coloured and clear with a nice head. Smell of cereals and caramel - a bit too weak. Its taste is more intensive: nutty, biscuit and cereals. High drinkability, low bitterness, low level of hop-aroma. The finish is quite boring.

750ml bottle from Archive Beer Boutique 210614. Lots of malty aromas and flavours, sound caramel also.

Bottle from notes. Nose is toffee, malt and butter scotch. Taste is malt, toffee, butter scotch a little almond, over pronounced alcohol in the finish with a little pepper. Decent, and a lot like a scotch beer

Bottle 75 cl. Pours a clear amber with a white head and an aroma of sweet malts, caramel, oak, spice and hops. The taste is pretty sweet, with some hoppy bitterness, mainly in the finish. Not really special, but I do like this beer!
