Amber color with a slight head that faded really quickly. Aroma is slightly acrid. Machine like character with some iron notes. Slight caramel taste. Really not much flavor overall. Mouth is a little light with hints of carbonation. Not bad, but not overly interesting or very tasty.

StuffWine (137) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - FEB 21, 2015
Poured a dark amber with good and lasting off-white head. Aroma of malts and molasses, with hints of rock candy. Taste is a wall of sugar, moving to dark malt and obvious alcohol, little bitterness at all. Full bodied, long malt finish that is progressively drier. Overall, good, but way too overpoweringly sweet for my liking.

McWorta (754) - LUXEMBOURG - FEB 21, 2015
Clear copper-amber colour with a frothy white head. Noses of toast, caramel and a light herbal hop infusion. Light carbonation, slick and a medium body. Rather sweet at first with dome bitterness coming up. Nicely balanced offering a medium finish, another good beer for creamy cheeses.

Pours a fairly clear amber color, topped with a nice white head. Malty aroma easily picked up with some caramel and yeasty smell, notes of fruits also present. Taste starts malty and sweet, some yeasty notes and obvious alcohol. Bitterness in the end. Not that nice to be fair.

Une bonne bière avec un gout de caramel. Il lui manque l’âme d’une bière artisanale mais elle reste tout à fait correcte

Amberish color with a white head. Some lacing. Sweet malty and fruity aroma. Medium + body. A bit sweet and a moderate bitterness. Average carbonation. Fruity, malty, bready and some alcohol in the flavor. Quite sweet and unbalanced ale.

Bottle, 0.75l. Clear deep amber color with medium soapy white head and fair lacing. Aroma of caramel, toasted malt, yeast and herbal hops. Taste starts moderate sweet malty, following is fruity, bready with notes of honey, warming alcoholic mouthfeel and light bitter finish. Medium body, syrupy texture and average carbonation in palate. Interesting, although it lacks a bit of character...

Un goût de caramel, un note de fruit murs et un goût assez sucré. Pour uen bière commerciale elle est correcte et s’harmonise avec de nombreux plats.

330 ml bottle. Light amber, pretty clear, with a small but persistent off white head. The nose is pretty much dominated by caramel, toffee and toasted malts. Maybe some light floral and herbal hop presence in the far background. It does feel slightly "spicy" as well, but I can’t really say which one. Wow, not what I was expecting and totally different from the aroma. Sweet, very sweet, definitely sirupy sweet. Almost like a concentrated fruit juice or something. Solid sugary presence, a hint of honey and dark bread. But it’s all about the fruity sweetness. Warming and slightly bitter aftertaste. Zingy palate, but relativey drinkable considering the ABV. Average to lively carbonation, medium body, slightly creamy texture. Hard to judge it properly being my first biere de garde, but it’s pretty decent I guess.
