Slightly dark reddish amber color. Clear and shiny. Generous creamy off-white head. Delicate and light perfume hops with light earthy touches. Overall very light, yet enjoyable flavor. Sweet and creamy taste, with a balanced amount of some kind of mild hops. Earthy, sweet caramel hints, fruity champagne-like hops, Very good subtle complexities. May be worth getting a corked bottle to keep around a few years...

Like nigos I read Michael Jackson's descriptions of this beer and agree with him on all counts. The only word he left out was that it had a caramel nose to match its rich amber colour. Very good lacing in the glass. A beer that I would like to keep a lot of. RE-RATE: After a bit of keeping this actually becomes a bit cloying. It deserves to be downgraded.

Compact and enough adherent foam. Orange amber color. Medium fizz and duration. Scent of wine cellar and mildew slightly yielded. Wrapping taste, much solid and of decided impact. Notes of must and caramel. Medium and canted end towards the bitter.

Bottle from the great Rich. Poured a clear amber , very clear, lots of tiny bubbles.Very nice lacing. Nose had an of aroma, not unpleasant. Lots of flavors swillering around. There was yeast and spices and hops. The is a strong alcohol taste, but at 6.5% seemed odd. This had a new taste with each sip. Very nice.

500ml can: This one is an amber color. The beer is a bit fizzy with a slightly off white head, but it dies down quickly. The aroma is mild, but somewhat caramel malty sweet. The taste is better than the aroma. There is a medium bodied caramel sweetness to the taste, but also a fairl amount of complexity. Some nuttiness, fruitiness, with a hint of spices and hops. Flavor could be a bit stronger. Really excellent for a can beer!

(bottle) slightly hazy copper. Aroma fruity/yeasty, but no yeast in flavor, which is sweet, carmel, aromatic with noticable alcohol.

Bottle sample at Dogbrick’s Eurostash II tasting on 12/12/09. Pours clear copper with a medium tan head. Malty nose with a bit of funk. Sweet malt flavor with the non-banana Belgian yeast.
