| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 16, 2007 Appearance: copper amber color. Medium head, few consistency, whitish-yellowish and not much persistent.
Aroma: malty, butter, candy and sugar smells. Peaches and oranges touches. Fruity-sourness. Alcoholic.
Flavor: malty sweet start, slight toasty and candy grains, progress with butterscotch , nut and honey reminiscences. Slightly sour and with fruit-reminiscences; like stone peaches, apricots, candy-oranges and plums. Light dry-hoppy, dryness mainly from alcohol. Large and warming final. Nutty and malty aftertaste.
Palate: light to medium body, velvet texture. Medium carbonation.
Some unbalanced to started, but finally is to make up for the alcoholic degree. Nice. Jerre (1768), Waregem, Belgium

Copper color with a full white head. Sweet and malty aroma. Sweet taste, bitter end. You get some caramel flavors and it is medium bodied. It feels nice in the mouth and there is a sweetness in the aftertaste. JoeinUccle (911), Brussels, Belgium
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 19, 2008 Sweet and malty yet refreshing and begging for some food to wash down. Drank at La Gueuze cafe in Paris. 33 cL bottle pours classic amber color with fading white head. Sweetish cookie aroma with tinges of apple and maple. Rather sweet flavor, just short of cloying thanks to a very slight bitterness, soft carbonation and maybe a bit wet. Lightly bitter and sweet aftertaste. Would be the perfect complement to something roasted and salty... somebody bring me a bird. danielyabu (304), União da Vitória, Brazil

Reddy amber colour with a dissipating small white head. Aroma is sweetish with some spice, malt and fruit evident. Flavour is similar with a vaguely nutty malt finish. Steady enough brew although was getting a little weary of it as I ploughed through the king size bottle. Yves (1052), Beerse, Belgium

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 7, 2008 750 ml bottle. The amber color suits the name. Lasting white head. Sharp aroma of hops, some earthy and citric notes and a definite sense of raw banana peel. Initially hoppy flavor that rounds off to caramel. Not my favorite biere de garde, but not hopeless either.
