COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Filtered, and lagered but unpasteurised.
Launched in 2000 as Jenlain Blonde. Changed to Jenlain No. Six in March 2005, with Jenlain Blonde name being used for a new 7.5% beer.
With its splendid golden hues and fruity tones, Jenlain No. Six has a distinctive bitter finish and a hoppy nose. The barley-scented liquor sparkles under its light, foamy head. Light and thirst-quenching, with a rich characteristic savour, it is best served at between 5 and 6°C, with a meal or as an aperitif.

Bière du Garde is not supposed to be in small bottles or cans, but I can handle that...But the colour...Has anyone heard of a pale stout??

UPDATED: AUG 21, 2003 I had planned to make number 100 a czech beer, but this was a surprisingly good substitute. A nice golden color with a creamy head. A little fruity and sweet. Both hops and malt in the taste. Nice body and a very clean finish. A very nice surprise...

Clean, crisp, lemony aroma. Light malt palate, gin-like herbs and a very slight bitterness and alcohol in the finish.

UPDATED: MAY 11, 2008 (Canned) Dark blonde colour with a frothy disappearing white foam. Sugary and cellary aroma with touches of canned pears. Cellary and sweet flavour of canned pears and white bread. Sticky mouthfeel. Medium-bitter finish of hay with cellary and sugary undertones.

clear pale golden colour, fine head and a nice lace, caramelized sugar, some spices and fruits (orange ?), (too) sweet, quite light-bodied, the finish is fruity with a touch of alcohol - modest

daboskabouter (1470) - Fergus, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 26, 2003
Very light golden color, fizzy white head. Light grass in the nose with a perfumy fruit character. Hints of spice also present in the nose. The body is sweet with hints of honey. Typical of a blond ale, with none of the characteristics of a biere de garde. Not too bad, bordering on too sweet, but the spices add a nice compexity to an otherwise boring blonde.

Incredibly floral scent. Smells like an english garden. Gold in colour, with little head and no lacing. Taste is slightly sweet initially. Then a hopped bitternes, with a faint sweet finish. Generally very pleasing.

Gold in colour. Aroma was grassy with some hops in there as well. Flavour was crisp, bitter, and slight citrus notes. Finishes bitter and a bit spicy.
