COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Can 50cl, a dark amber beer with medium head. Nose is on caramel, aroma is on caramel, caramel syrup, toasted malt and cooked biscuit touch. Body is sweet nutty and again on caramel and light caramel, very basic.

500ml can from Carrefour in Normandy. A warm though nondescript strong lager. Clean and inoffensive. Firm mouthfeel. Nicely balanced between a regular global lager and a super strong lager.

Can picked up at Casino supermarket, Beaune, France. Consumed in a field at Truck Festival, Steventon, Oxon Saturday 20.07.13 Pours reddy/brown a little hazy. Very big on maltiness, not so big on hops. Metallic edginess and quite sweet not sure of abv has Loz has already put can into recycling. Caramel and there are some dates, its ok. Pours dark copper with ruby hints. Nose shows grassy skunky notes, booze, spicy hops, brown sugar and vegetal notes. Similar flavours with more malt but there’s still the grassy notes, grainy malt and a little booze. Body feels watery. Not great...

Can, cheers to a French supermarket sweep by that man Leighton, at the 500 miles tasting in the Sham, 23/03/13. Hazed chestnut brown with a thin off white head that clears edgeward. Nose is yeast, brown sugar, toffee, light spice. Taste comprises caramel, toffee, yeast, dark fruit, dates, sugars. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finish. Pretty mediocre but drinkable none the less.

Can at the 500 Miles Tasting, the Sham - you are welcome, gents. Pours clear, light brown with a fine, creamy head. Lightly toasted, semi-dark malts in the nose. Medium sweet flavor, simple brown bread malts, light caramel. Light to medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Light dry, sugary brown bread to finish, mellow caramel. Simple but OK.
