Bottled 250ml Saveur. Deep amber color, small beige head. Caramel, some alcohol, grassy notes, a bit malty aroma. Medium-bodied. Quite caramelly, some alcohol, grassy hoppy notes, raisiny fruityness. One of the better Jenlains.

Bottled. Deep red colour with a mediumsized slightly off white creamy head. Aroma is caramel, toffee and some slight floral notes along with mild ripe fruitiness as well. Flavour is mildly toasted malts, some caramel, ripe fruits and also a rather big bitterness in the finish, which isn’t that normal for a beer of this style.

500ml can from Carrefour in Normandy. A warm though nondescript strong lager. Clean and inoffensive. Firm mouthfeel. Nicely balanced between a regular global lager and a super strong lager.

Pours dark copper with ruby hints. Nose shows grassy skunky notes, booze, spicy hops, brown sugar and vegetal notes. Similar flavours with more malt but there’s still the grassy notes, grainy malt and a little booze. Body feels watery. Not great...
