COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly known as Sebourg beer, this was rebaptized Saint Druon de Sebourg in 2000.
Malted barley and 3 varieties of hops grown in Alsace form the basis of this recipe, which, unlike Duyck’s other beers, also contains wheat from the Beauce region of France, milled in the traditional way by Sebourg’s miller. And to give it an even more distinctive flavour, the Duyck’s use a specific strain of yeast exclusive to the beer.
St. Druon de Sebourg is the French version of a blonde abbey ale, similar in style to those found across the nearby border in Belgium. It is spicy and effervescent, and much hoppier than typical bière de garde.

Bottled at the Danish Beerfestival 2003: Light yellow. Not much head. Slightly spicy in the nose. A bit alcaholic and fruity flavour. Slightly bitter in the and. Not worht a visit.

Cloudy gold color with a thin head and an upward stream of carbonation. Light wheat aroma with pilsneresque qualities and a wheaty but unbalancedly, unpleasantly alcholic and skunky taste--eck! Dislike the lack of balanced in this brew.

sour nose. Yellow thinheaded with some residue. A taste like licking a (clean) kitchen table. Flat mouthfeel.

A bit of green apple, a lot of flatness. Someone let the air out of it’s tires! There isn’t much at all that can be said about it. Very boring. Nothing offensive about it... just nothing to get excited about. I think St Druon is the patron saint of boredom!

Golden color. Tart slightly pale acidic taste, something like green apples. Not much complexity or taste.

Another above-average French brew. Creamy head with a nice wheaty taste. The guys who rated it before me obviously weren’t overcome with emotion about this beer, but it deserves to be said that it’s worth tasting.
