Commercial Description:
Formerly known as Sebourg beer, this was rebaptized Saint Druon de Sebourg in 2000.
Malted barley and 3 varieties of hops grown in Alsace form the basis of this recipe, which, unlike Duyck’s other beers, also contains wheat from the Beauce region of France, milled in the traditional way by Sebourg’s miller. And to give it an even more distinctive flavour, the Duyck’s use a specific strain of yeast exclusive to the beer.
St. Druon de Sebourg is the French version of a blonde abbey ale, similar in style to those found across the nearby border in Belgium. It is spicy and effervescent, and much hoppier than typical bière de garde.

Pour is a golden blond with a white head. Aroma is grassy and spicy. Flavor is some grain and yeast with a slight banana. The problem with this beer is that its extremly watery and thin. Nothing really settles on your palate. Would probably be a good lawnmower beer and it was pretty cheap at $4 for a corked and caged bottle.

Bottle. Amber beer with an off-white head. Slight sweet malt, hay, skunky hop, and spice aroma. Slightly sweet malt flavor with good hop qualities (citrus and spice). Medium body. A bit of breadiness lingers with hops. Refreshing. Not bad.

The beer is sweet and fruity. high on the malts and low on the hop flavors. The body is full but with a smooth texture. Very good.

The aroma is malty and fruity with an emphasis on yeast. The appearance is golden with an average head. The flavor is like the aroma with a bitter finish. The palate is smooth. Overall it’s good.

Pours bright gold into a snifter. Fluffy white head recedes to skim surface. Malt and candi aromas. Active carbonation with pepper from front to back. Slightly sweet finish.

On tap @ Coles Buffalo NY. Not a very complex or complicated beer but very tasty & drinkable. Light, effervescent, some citrus, slightly yeasty, wheaty, slightly spicy. enjoyable

Pours a cloudy yellow color with a decent white head. Aroma of yeast and spice. Slight banana and spice flavor. Dissapointingly flat and quick to finish. Wheat and bread flavors come out as well.
