Formerly known as Sebourg beer, this was rebaptized Saint Druon de Sebourg in 2000.
Malted barley and 3 varieties of hops grown in Alsace form the basis of this recipe, which, unlike Duyck’s other beers, also contains wheat from the Beauce region of France, milled in the traditional way by Sebourg’s miller. And to give it an even more distinctive flavour, the Duyck’s use a specific strain of yeast exclusive to the beer.
St. Druon de Sebourg is the French version of a blonde abbey ale, similar in style to those found across the nearby border in Belgium. It is spicy and effervescent, and much hoppier than typical bière de garde.

Golden color. Tart slightly pale acidic taste, something like green apples. Not much complexity or taste.

A bit of green apple, a lot of flatness. Someone let the air out of it’s tires! There isn’t much at all that can be said about it. Very boring. Nothing offensive about it... just nothing to get excited about. I think St Druon is the patron saint of boredom!

Bottle, snifter. Spare, quickly diminishing, white head sits atop a hazy, light yellow body. Grain and hay malt (M); perfume hops (L); musty and leaves yeast (L); pear and bandage aromas. Lightly sweet flavor becomes a lightly sweet, lightly bitter finish. Medium-light body, watery texture, flat carbonation. The bottom line is: each component is more disappointing than the last.

Pours a golden amber with a frothy white head that leaves some light lacing. Smells a bit skunky, and my wife thought it smelled like "dirty feet". Not too great. Taste only slightly better, a bit of an apple and malt flavor. Not so good.

Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain), lightly hoppy (herbs), with notes of coriander, plastic, and alcohol. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, unclean. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Unpleasant from start to finish...plasticky, dirty tasting, watery, blah.

Low white head on a golden body. Aroma isn’t much to talk about, and the taste is metallic, probably because the bootle was opened long after the limit date (3 months overdue). I will have to retry with a newer bottle.

12oz. bottle. Pours hazy straw color with big frothy head. Smells sour, earthy, stale and a little yeasty. Taste is sour fruit with some bready notes. I didn’t like this one, (left the rest of the four back in my friend’s fridge), but I think I gave it a few pity points. I switched to the Bud Light my friends were drinking instead of trying any more of this one.

This beer is not very good. Besides from the interesting bubblegum notes it has nothing but yeast and wheat to it.

sour nose. Yellow thinheaded with some residue. A taste like licking a (clean) kitchen table. Flat mouthfeel.

Cloudy gold color with a thin head and an upward stream of carbonation. Light wheat aroma with pilsneresque qualities and a wheaty but unbalancedly, unpleasantly alcholic and skunky taste--eck! Dislike the lack of balanced in this brew.
